ive shipped two basses recently one to finland and one to italy, i use parcel2go or interparcel and both times was around £55 (£500 insurance) which i dint think was bad, but when i asked parcelfarce they wanted around £80!!! its rediculous, surely theres not that much more administration/paperwork involved and for god sake its only going on a plane with thousands of other parcels!!! it needs to be cheaper!!!
I bought a quilted maple/mahogany body offa him at the beginning of the month and it's just disappeared into the ether. Annoying, cos I had a Warmoth custom build neck lined up for that body and that'll now have to change if this one's lost. Looks nice, that one. I'll keep an eye on this thread.
took this one about 4 weeks to arrive!! i did start to panick a little! -
won a set of entwistle jazz pups just wondered if theyre any good? better than squire/MIM jazz pups?? just thinking of future projects!

no its not a wierd kind of S&M fetish!!!! ive got two warwick fortresses and bith of them suffer from choking G strings! its mainly around the 5-7th frets, the frets are good both have wenge necks and new strings. Ive got he action down really low asits the way i like it and theres very little relief in the necks, the other strings are fine and the other fretted notes on the 'G' are fine also! I dont really want to have to add any more relief to the neck as it'll highten the action around the middle of the neck, but anyone any ideas as to why its happening? when i play each of the acoustically its unnoticeable and they play fine but when plugged in its bad!

ive got an early 80's Marlin brand PBass. its seen better days, fair few scuffs etc to the body and faded paintwork (black), the neck is nice and straight, maple with maple board, truss rod works fine - adjusted at body end. neck has a few scuffs on the back too but nothing drastic. the bridge has grooved saddles but the scewheads are shot so may need some work to get thm out and replace it! the neck had one of the 'ears' missing from one machinehead when i got it so ive put a cheapie on as a replacement which does the job but not great. took the pickguard off and theres some crude 'home made' routing done to accomodate a battery (looks like its had an active pup in there at some point) w/b/w pickguard. got it off ebay as fancied a project but alas no time, plus ive decided to concentrate on a jazz project instead. hows about £50? plus a fiver towards post if anyone is intersted in it ive also got an EMG pup which i bought off beedster you can have for £30 (same as what i paid) so the pair for £70 plus post??
