Ive debated over this and thought i'd give it a go! its a fender 24 fret active jazz, alder body, quilted maple top finished in tobacco sunbirst. Seymour duncan basslines pups, 3 band active circuitry, string thru bridge, hipshot ultralite tuners. Its a great bass, great range of tines available through the eq, lovely feel to it and very playable. Its in great condition very minor surface scratching but still looks relatively new. These were korean made, and IMO they are easily as good as US built ones quality wise so dont let the korean bit put you off!! looking for £400 posted Some pics (not the greatest as i took them on my mobile as couldn't find the camera), will try and get some better ones up soon. well i bought an ashdown little giant 1000 off them not too long ago, and when it arrived it was DEAD! fair enough they arranged a courier to collect and i got a full refund, but looking at the head itself it was OBVIOUS that it wasn't new as there were light scuffs, but also it was obvious that the thing had been tampered with as the screws were raggy and showed signs of being taken out!!!

Righht thought i'd swap out the pups on my CV jazz and put in the vintage style EMG;s ive got lying about! Also, Ive got a EMG balance pot lyin around too so thought i'd use it instead of two volumes! The controls i have are a pre wired vol and tone pot from a PBass EMG setup, but can anyone help withhow i wire the balance pot up to it and also the output jack? cheers

Not using this that much since i downsized my main rig and using it to reherse with instead. Great little combo, amazingly portable, good clear tone and surprising volume out of such a small cab. In good nick ,the odd verysmall tear in the vynl at the bottom edges - just off general transporting - and the chrome has worn off the volume knob a bit, but other than that fully working. I've not seen another one second hand so unsure of a value but these are over £500 new so how about £300??? squier CV jazz neck relief adjustment?
mojobass replied to mojobass's topic in Repairs and Technical
sorted!!!! having a blonde moment me thinks!!!! set up nicely now and even more impressed with this bass given the cost!!!! now cant make up my mind wether or not to stick the vintage EMG's in it that ive got lying around!!??? -
just took delivery of one and upon taking it out of the box and adjusting the bridge for a set of flats it plays great and sounds great, build quality is excellent - VERY impressed!!!! No, i'd like to adjust the neck relief slightlyto get the action a bit lower for me, but looking into the hole in the headstock it appears to be a solid truss rod with no allen key hole!!! is this right? if so how the heck to i adjust the relief???

can't comment on the combo, but i had the marshall MBC410 (4x10) cab for a while, paired with my ashdown MAG300 head, and latterly with the little giant 1000 head, and to me it sounded great, good range and clarity and well worth the extremely reasonable price tag!!! Only reason i got rid of it was cos ive got early onset of arthritis in my lower back so had to go completely lightweight!! otherwise i'd of kept it!

ive always been told that the active basses would be too 'hot' to run through the passive mode!? So is that right that u can do this? If so it would help as i run active and passive basses and when switching over ive been changing the input lead over to suit (which is apin and i have forgotten a couple of times!!)
