  3. Marshall 1922 ex speaker cab, with Marshall cover. 2x12, 75w+75w giving £150 total. This cab is in new condition, had very little use. First £100 gets it, can deliver Nw or West Yorkshire for "go go" money. Ta very glad BIGd

  5. I think this is a very odd question. I have never been guided by a "Name" and have always gone with what sounds, plays the best for the money I can spend (when my wife lets me, Ta very much luv ) Even then I don't stay with one make and do try differant and new stuff to my normal. Although I do have favs, this does change if something better comes along, but it really does need to be a lot better. I use SWR Workingmans 1X15 combo G&L Astat bass Bass Collection J Series fretless La Bella flat wounds (heavy) Monster Pro cables EBS chorus, drive & octivide Boss TU2 Peddle Train And me to make it sound amazing BIGd

  12. I'm using a Workingmans 15 and love it, great sound the best I've used. BIGd
  13. 1 Maple neck to fit Jazz bass (not Fender) this neck is only a few months old (bass build never started) comes with tuners in gold and nut 2 pickups to fit a Jazz bass (no name make) neck one is smaller than the bridge as on Fenders. 1 bridge gold colour, quite a solid bridge what more can you say it's a bridge.   15. Thanks everyone it seems a good idea at the mo as the pound is so strong. 2 for 1 thats half price and would still be saving even with the inport tax.
  16. I'm off on my jollies in Sept to the US of A. I need some advice from those of you in the know. I am thinking of buying a new Bass and bringing it back with me. Questions: What Tax etc would I pay when arriving back in the UK ? Would it be safe to put the bass in it's case in the hold of the aircraft ? Is it possible to insure it for the homeward trip ? Words of wisdom from the wize ones among us please. Ta very glad BIGd
