  1. Sing the tune in your head, yep, in your head. You can learn the bass, then the words, or do it together. But, if you know the tune inside your head you will know when it is 'wrong'. Singing and playing bass is your independence bit that drummers take for granted. A good start, IMO is old rock and roll stuff, you can laugh but it chugs along and is relatively easier to hold the tune ... When it gets to Politician or Born Under A Bad Sign well that is when you need the Tune in you head. Oh, and sing at the top of your voice, in the car, get a feel for your range.... Works for me
  2. Guys, searching for a utopian app that would effectively do what the TASCAM electrickey does, I found Practise Pro, downloaded the Lite version which is Free, then promptly forgot about it, the way you do. I revisited it last week when I wanted to listen to something a bit closer and ran the lite version, it did what I wanted, allbeit with a limit to length of tune, but it allowed you to listen to a minute or so. So I bought the full blown version £6.99, an Apple rip, but still. You can book mark and loop, keep the pitch whilst slowing down the tune. No bass specific filters, yet but the Author, Balazs Faldi said that would would be in an upgrade.................... Try it if dont already have it, if you do got it, tell Balazs and review it... Thanks for perusin'
