1. Yes, I took over from Pete the Manager in 77/78 Danny, Hedley and Sue I think her name was, ran the music side, Mrs Rennie and Kim the records. You'll know Phil Caton the Drummer then! He was on the Wallasey scene. When Danny started Mersey Music he scored all the music stock at very convenient prices gave him a great start and he had a good reputation.
 2.
The seller has already stated pickup only and also the seller may not want the bother of packaging it up, there's also the issue of payment as there is no real secure way of doing a deal
Ooooops! missed that, sorry. Wallasey, I worked with Danny Murphy the Piano Man in Rumbelows...............ooooooer
 3.
Wish you were nearer to me , would have had this today but due to this robbing corrupt government it would cost me about £100 in fuel plus 10 hours travel. Hope you sell it mate
Acourier will cost about £15-20 Notes saving £80.00 which then makes the Bass a bargain
 4.
If you haven't already you might want to read GremlinAndys posts on waiting for his Hyperbass to be delivered in the Zons GearPorn thread: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/54706-where-are-the-zons/page__st__40 Not trying to put you off or anything - I have two Zons & I think they're the best basses money can buy.
Thanks Rhys, didn't realise it was Piccolo, I like the look of it, I'll ask if it can be normalised. I don't do "Solo" I just do bass, and sing, maybe I don't need that level of pose.......
 5. Just trawling the forum and spotted this old thread and your playing Danny, something else....reason for posting is...I have just enquired about a hyperbass direct from Zon, nothing special just a straightforward no xtenders altered tuning jobby just 'bog' standard. The bass looks amazing, I have had it priced in Black, solid black, no fancy wood, just black. Not sure if I will do it 7 month lead and 50% up front on a $6,000 bass.......something will have to go..... My knackers if Mrs Blondie ever found out. This could be a dream as I don't do fancy bass...
 6.
I have the latter.
Bring em all to the captains for an A-B test
 7.
And here's a rough video of All The Queen's Ravens from our gig on Friday night http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h6_SQHwkPqI&feature=relmfu
There is nothing like 3 Chick singers in a band....
 8. Ok, it scream, I will authenticate its colour soon
 9. I feel a production run coming on.......
 10.
Right, let's put this issue to bed. Do we all agree that a Polytune pedal is white? It's cream. And loud
The T shirt looks white to me. You've tried this haven't you Mr Neep, go on admit it tsk tsk
 11. That's a fine looking bass, get a new fretless neck....string it with flats....you don't like ...you got a neck to sell....you get it de-fretted...you don't like it........stuffed
 12.
I know deffo means yes, but you put 'no' at the start, thought you meant definitely don't
No, missed the punctuation
 13.
Eh? I can't tell if you like it or not
Deffo= yes
 14.
I Saw Her Standing There or Day Tripper
No Saw Her Standing There Deffo
 15.
Ahh that's a shame, he had a back up bass player who was playing circles around him on a fender jazz - i just assumed he had arthritis or something?? His singing was on the money but not a lot else, even the backup band was mediocre apart from the drummer who was the most entertaining part of it!! I only paid £25 for the actual gig, £30 for the handsigned painting and £20 for the T shirt. Still my favourite player but obviously past it
Glad I have the memories. I saw the Graham Bond Organisation in Quaintways Chester in 1964/5, Jack Bruce playing a diminutive Fender 6 thingy, Dick Heckstall Smith on Tenor, Graham Bond on Hammond B3 and Leslie's also playing two (yes two) Alto's at one stage and Ginger Baker on Drums. At that time in my life it was absolutely amazing stuff, as I had only been playing (badly) for about a year. Saw the TV interview recently, I still like him, Classic stuff. Er he is an old man now but IMO groundbreaking for the time, think Felix Papapaladi from Mountain..
 16.
I've got a few pots of emulsion that look a similar colour and they're 'soft hazel'
I knew a soft Hazel once
 17. Looks white to me hahaha
 18. Rich, what a brilliant job you did on that, when I saw it in the rough it still looked the bizness, but covered in that white tolex it looks great. I feel a 2 x 10 build coming my way coupled with a 1 x 15................... what did I say about GAS.
 19.
That you will sir.
Now now I'm home next week and you owe me
