1. bought a pedal from Mike. Great guy and an absolute pleasure to deal with.
  2. there was one of these in for sale for £80 recently - bargain! This is a cracking pedal somewhat ruined by the Ovnilab/bongomania review that talks about a glitch. Apart from that (which it's not clear whether it's recognised fault or production error or what) he is very very positive about this pedal. he would know.
You're definitely missing off the TC Electronic Nova Dynamics from your list!! It's feature rich and cheaper than some of the pedals in your list, yet features both full range and multi band compression (3 vs EBS's 2) and noise gates too. The pedal can also be used in full stereo for studio applications OR configured so that two different basses can be plugged in and have their own separate settings. It's a transparent compressor that does exactly what you want without adding it's own colour.
3. wow that's a record! On hold pending payment. Simply to clear some space on my board and raise a bit of cash, I am selling one of my favourite pedals. It's one of Dave Hall's twin channel valve overdrives with 3 band active EQ for each channel and a quality DI. You can set up each channel (blue and red) separately (one clean through to grit, the other grit through to mental OD) and switch between them. I was using this as my only pedal for some gigs and it worked brilliantly. It is BIG but actually I think it looks great. Sell new for £199. In excellent condition so I am looking for £125 posted UK. Removable velcro and no PSU (requires a min 9-12VDC 700mA, rec 12VDC 1200mA). Follow this to find full specs DHA website
  4.
Also were can i buy a 3 way looper, were i can turn off and on each individual loop. So i can have each one separate but mix them together how i like.
is this the kind of thing you are after? wounded paw super blender
  5.
Great bass for an unbelivable price.£400
you can say that again - total bargain for a great looking bass.
  6.
They were a good rig 20 plus years ago..and then SWR came along and raised the bar.
I saved and saved and saved for my Trace amp thinking I had landed in heaven when I got it. Reasonably happy with it but mainly pleased with how it looked. Then heard an SWR, saved and saved and saved, traded the Trace at a big loss for an SWR which blew the Trace away. I only just moved the SWR on after 15 years to buy a Tecamp Puma. HAving said that I would have loved a V type.
  7. mate my MM4 is basically my main bass. I had no real problem with the preamp although have to admit I didn't use it under studio conditions before choosing to load it up with a John East Marcus Retro just to get the added flexibility. I am now very very happy - the CIJ build is good, it feels solid, slick neck and with the East there is total flexibility. Studio and live it's brilliant. I know there are some very very good Jazzes out there but MM4's are the best quality, best value SH jazzes out there in my opinion. Add a John East and you've got a £1K+ bass for £2-300 less than that.
Back to a previous point, can anyone verify whether these basses emit a low hum at all? I've seen a few reviews which seem to comment critically on this issue :S Just wondering if it's a problem which has been fixed or if the problem still exists in new models.
8. I love source audio soundblox gear. i use a hot hand with my soundblox flanger and it rocks. I prefer to beef out the signal with some clean blended in, but the sounds offered are excellent, varied (11 presets), variable (further parameters) and very audibly varied by the hot hand. On the back of this experience I have just picked up the non-pro multiwave distortion and have ordered a BEF pro. I have no intention really of entering the whole world of dubstep etc., but am aware that I will then have a pretty awesome digital armoury capable of w-w-w-wobble.
  9. i kinda find it odd when he does and doesn't choose to appear with those basses of his. nice Fender but why not free advertising for your own basses?
  10.
Bump for new lower price....
pm'd

    obbm's feedback

cant remember whether I left feedback for most recent transaction - anyway never hurts to say good things twice. Superstar! Got my new speaker cables quickly and best value - quality is second to none. Pleasure dealing with Dave.
  14. real pleasure selling pedals to Si - knows what he wants, clear questions, quick payment, polite throughout. trade with confidence. Cheers, Rich

  16. EHX put a couple of trimpots internally to allow for separate adjustment of the dual filters. This mod simpy allows for external control of the pots. Gives an added dimension to an excellent but otherwise one-dimensional pedal. Check the web on this, like below >>see here<<
  17. I dont have the prog looper but i like WOBO stuff a lot. Loved my double looper which I am only now selling because wanted something with a blend.
  18.
Just got this from a fellow BC'er, and just wondering if anyone had a wiring diagram for it. I'd tried the JE website, but the email link isnt working. Its this one
Marcus Retro wiring etc link works for me.
  19. "scorcio" is a great name for a bass. Perhaps the "chrissy waddle" might be next??
  20. I have a 1m jack to speakon speaker cable £10+pp **NOW SOLD** and a 2M jack to jack speaker cable £12+pp **UNDER OFFER**. Both extremely high quality by Bassic-bits (BC's OBBM).
  21. total Basschat rig (Gaf's midget t and Marcus with East retro; Bassgear Phil's compact and Callum's Tecamp Puma 500 - thanks guys). After years of settling for second best I waited, thought what I really wanted and needed, and held out for them to appear before buying at excellent prices. Just over a year it took to get this rig together. Add to this my $$5, my trusty old EMG loaded 75 Precision, and increasing number of decent pedals including SFX, DHA, Barge and Soundblox, I am now a very happy man.
