1.
For set ups (especially if you're doing other people's instruments and charging for it) there's no substitute IMO for the Perterson.
this is probably right. For live I use Polytune and don't notice, but the polytune has a bit of rep for being "loose". If you are in the set up business you probably want a top end beast.
 2.
That sounds like a great pedal. I could really do with something like that for my board.
when I bought it I really didn't think I'd need it but soon as you have the option you find yourself with a whole range of wet/dry blends for different tracks. For a monkey like me (unlike Shep or some other pedal genius) it's sort of a half way house between pure pedal based set up and an FX unit.
 3.
Barge Concepts The VFB can be picked up pretty cheap and it won't muck up your tone, it does just what it's meant to do. The feedback loop is an interesting part of the pedal, if you've got a fuzz and a delay in the loop you can get some great feedback tones.
I just picked up a custom barge concepts double blend double looper (two loops, two blend settings per loop + variable z) from Mark on here. it is amazing. So +1 for Barge Concepts.
 4.
A Boss LS-2 will be the cheap option, plus lots of extra useful features if you need them. An Xotic X-Blender is probably the best out there but will cost you. If you wanna keep it British then check out the sfx s&m pedal.
Depends what you are looking for but another British option: DHA Bob the Blender
 5. richer than us all put together and multiplied by 1000. Shagged more hot women than any of us thought existed. Fellow bass player. Comes across as a decent guy. All the rest is petty jealousy. (No big U2 fan BTW)
 6. brilliant - i read through this and wondered how it had resurfaced. After all that it would be great to reappear for £650. I have a natural MM but I do like the white one.
 7.
I'm sure my Compact & Midget will enjoy it too
let me know cause I am looking for a new option for my compact and midget t. This is a cheaper option than the others on my list.
 8. I am getting just that wee bit interested in this. It kind of passed me by when I was looking to put together my long list of "micro amps". I have my heart set on an Aggy TH500 I think, but will need to try this out given the incredible price. Actually I have a sneaking suspicion I should also give the GK MBs a longer harder look.
 9. me like. Agree about the colour scheme - tidy. Try to avoid Status gas. That's an expensive business.
 10. before I read the post I thought for a second after all your hard work to get yourself a set of Roscoes you had changd your mind and had gone Fender! Me and fretless dont mix nor do me and anything over about £20 at the mo but best of luck mate, you deserve these great basses.
 11. Nicer than the super Js - like the White one in particular. Cool name too. Pity it won't happen.
 12.
I know where your coming from buddy. I am getting great reviews from they fellas in the band about my sound coming from the combo and my main guitairst nearly wet himself when I kicked in with the DHA pedal for Slither and Ace of Spades. Maybe im chasing something thats not there, THEE TONE. I keep forgetting that regardless of my TONE, I am still going to sound like me.
glad you're getting on with the DHA by the sound of it. Hope you find what you are looking for. I like following all the ins and outs of your hunt for the perfect set up.
 13. been saving for a year, almost ready to go on a new lightweight head to go with my BF midget t + compact. My long list is EA micro, MB500, SL6/900, TH500 or GB9/9.2. Unfortunately I have not been able to try the TH500 or GB9.2 yet, and only the SL9 and GB9 with my own cabs. Might head over to GuitarGuitar later since they seem the only ones with TH500s in stock and my heart is saying "Aggy, Aggy, Aggy" since I used to have a tonehammer, and have loved each Aggy amp I have tried. It's just murder to find all these amps up in the frozen north.
 14. that shot of the back is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen of a bass, the colour and the weave
 15.
what does one of these do? (I'm an idiot)
dead simple: two true bypass effects loops (i tended to use one for dirt and the other for chorus, flanger etc) that you can switch on and off separately or have both on. The INV switch just reverses the state of the unit so if you have loop A on, switching INV switches the unit to B on, B on to A on, both on to both off, both off to on. 16. Mark really is easy to deal with. Bought pedal from MArk - everything smooth, packed expertly, dispatched quickly, good communications. I wish every deal was as easy. Cheers, Rich
 17. Cham is the man. Bought a pedal off me - superb to deal with, payment quick, all good. Do business with this man if you can.
 18.
If I had the money in the bank I'd be all over these soooooooo bad!
me too, had a Taurus 2 connected to a Moog Rogue, murder to set up (non-midi) but so so cool. I am way past this sort of thing now but can still look longingly.
 19.
I have to say the arctic white basses have really caught my eye. I am mainly in the market for a p-bass but I am seriously swung by this.
smart looking bass
 20. alright guys, I have just upgraded fx set up. So what I have here is a tidy basic double fx loop pedal (no blend) with the cool addition of an inverse switch (gets you from both on to off, a to b etc). Bought off here 6 months ago. Full working order, small scuffs, recessed LED that still works fine. Nabbed this photo off google but looks pretty much identical. PM for info. Waiting for a new daddy for £40 posted UK.
