3.
want
It could be yours.........
4. ABM found so now this babys for sale!
5.
At least the smoke covered the smell of men and their disgusting Lynx aromas. Pubs and venues smell horrible now.
Tis true.
6. Even though I've never smoked and even though my clothes and gear stunk after a gig and even though I still recall looking out from the stage and seeing a cloud of smoke hanging in the air about 2 feet above the punters heads (which can't be healthy - especially if your a non smoker serving behind the bar all day). I still miss the days before the smoking ban. I always end up standing outside in the cold with the smokers somehow.
7. I see what you mean about the 3D. It's given me a migraine.
8. Chris Agnew who plays with his brother Stevie Agnew plays around Edinburgh with a Gallien Kruger combo and it sounds excellent. You can see him usually playing at the Ghillie Dhu at the west end in Edinburgh with ..............err everybody. Next gig he's doing that I know of is on the 26th at a organised jam type thing where you can get up and play through it if you fancy it.
9.
Just picked up a mighty mite Fender licensed maple with maple board from bluegrass guitar parts for just under a ton. Came with 70 s decal already attached and it was in the vintage tint finish. I believe this guy has stock or can source easily - came very well packed and with good comms. Email addy [email protected]
+1 I bought one of these recently and it's excellent.
10. I fitted a J Retro to my Jazz for this very reason. It means I can walk out front and adjust the EQ to fit the acoustics of the room as we soundcheck. This means that the sound coming out of my amp when I'm standing next to it can be a bit naff but I know out front it will sound good.
11. It's true. I am in bonnie Scotland......home of Irn Bru and The Krankies.
12. Hmmmmm, I've been missing my MM SUB (and I don't have the spare cash) but I do have a MIJ 1996 57 reissue Precision? It's black with a maple neck. The body has a few scrapes and scuffs but it sounds good and plays well.
13. Somebody needs to play that bass. Because, looking at the lack of wear and tear, it hasn't been played for a very long time.
14. Sounds promising keep us updated.
15.
I've just bought a Mighty Mite P neck for my Bitsa P build. Need to drill the holes for the neck screws and fit to body. Not fitted a neck from scratch like this before, but I'm pretty competent with wood and tools. Anyone have any tips or secrets to ensure a smooth bolt-on? Thanks edit: spelling
Don't tell anybody but I bought a mighty mite neck recently and, because I don't have a drill, just slotted the neck into the body pocket (making sure it was a good tight fit) and using just brute force and ignorance, screwed the screws through the neckplate into the neck. Plays great and is a tight fit. I shall be told off for doing this..............I know I will.
16.
It's the beginning of Skynet.
No not the beginning http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skynet_(satellite)
17. Well I don't recommend putting basses through 5 watt valve amps. I put my bass through my Fender champ with it's tiny weenie speaker...............it didn't like it.
18. I know there's one out there......
19. The speaker in your combo will be 8 ohms. If you plug in another 8 ohm cab the total speaker resistance will be reduced to 4 ohms (two 8 ohm speakers wired in parallel will result in the total resistance changing to 4 ohm). In other words make sure the resistance of the other speaker you plug in the back is 8 ohm and you can then play through both speakers. You'll notice that your volume goes up by quite a bit because there's more speakers (of course) and because the total speaker resistance has gone down and the amp doesn't have to work as hard. These Ashdowns have a great sound and with a decent 2nd cab yours will sound even better.
20. My Ashdown EB 150 sounds great played through my 2x12 cab (and significantly louder too). I hope your's is one with an extension socket (mine is an early one made in the UK).
21. I'd like a Jazz bass that sounded like a Stingray Mr Fender R&D man.
22. Nice basses but I think the £1450 buy it now price is a bit of wishful thinking.
23.
This is at the wrong time for me sadly. Out of curiousity, whats the difference between the Classic and the RH450?
I've not played through a RH450 but from what I've read they sound pretty similiar. The RH450 has preset sounds that you can program and a tuner of course.
