  1. A spam bot that joined in 2012 and posted nothing until yesterday. Even if it's a real person that's still odd.
  2. If he'd knocked it onto himself then things might have become more interesting, albeit you have video evidence so any claim would be swiftly dealt with. Scam or not at least PL is pretty cheap.
  3. This is where having PL insurance becomes necessary...
  4. At least there's a red Strat in there, so you can claim some measure of authenticity!
  5. He also put a P neck on the bass of doom as I recall, to slow him down or something
  6. 3 amps 1 cab Ashdown ABM as main amp, TE Elf as backup and for smaller gigs. Also a Vox amPlug2 but that is just gathering dust at the moment. Just the one Barefaced Two10S for now but another would be nice, as would a One10.
  7. In general Fenders were designed so you could swap out the necks so the same should be true of Fenders and Squiers. I say should...
  8. Nice one @Smanth, glad things are going your way!
  9. If money, time, distance and storage space was no impediment... Sadowsky NYC vintage J in 4- and 5-string varieties 1978 Fender P or J bass (birth year bass) Music Man StingRay Rickenbacker 4003 Ampeg SVT (not sure exactly which model but one of the all-tube ones heavier than a black hole) Barefaced One10, second Two10 and Four10 ...and a house with a space large and soundproof enough to store and use all of the above without teeing off the family or the neighbours.
  10. Oh dang! Birth year bass and a cracking one too. Such a shame I'm broke as a very broke thing or I'd be hooning it up the A1. GLWTS!
  11. They sounded like a great combination on the recent Bass Channel demo
  12. I've heard that you don't hear Noel Redding on any Jimi Hendrix recording, but that could be (and probably is) just a myth.
  13. Ah, I remember an interview with her years ago (probably Globe Sessions era) where she said she didn't worry about major/minor and just composed using root notes. Good to see she's developed from her early forays!
  14. That's terribly shoddy of them. I'd be worried that they hadn't done any quality control checks on it either. Maybe they got lucky and it was fine, but if they hadn't even bothered to make sure it was superficially clean then I would have my doubts.
  15. Is that the interview where she said composing on bass meant she didn't need to worry about major and minor chords?
  16. Yeah, they played Red Light Spells Danger on a Top Gear special years ago because Clarkson was learning to play the drums and Hammond and May could already play instruments. It did not go very well.
  17. Definitely worth looking at for anyone considering a J-style but doesn't want to shell out a large sum in case they don't like it. It looks like an absolute steal.
