  1. I think Sire describe it as "tobacco burst", despite every other manufacturer having a tobacco burst that's effectively a 2TS with just the black and brown bands. This is a 2TS with red and brown. I have a tobacco burst V7 and it's great (albeit it will be sold later in the year to finance a bass I've been after for years) - enjoy!
  2. Oh god, that's awful. Poor Norm Stockton seems to be thinking "what in the tone deaf nonsense am I doing here?"
  3. Same here, but no courier is perfect. Our local Hermes delivery person is fantastic for example, but she seems to be an exception by all accounts.
  4. Looks like these are the only options other than posting a letter: https://www.dpd.co.uk/content/how-can-we-help/contact.jsp
  5. Self-taught from 18, dipping into various books, websites, YT channels, Fender Play and even a few less-than-successful online "in-person" lessons. I've picked up random bits of learning over the years but nothing I'd call coherent.
  6. First thread I've seen on here being Godwin'd!
  7. That's fair enough and will depend on how well you trust the seller. The Monzo links all start monzo.me so hopefully this will start to get the word out there that such links aren't scammy.
  8. In the app if you go to the payments tab then request money, click "by QR code or link", it'll give you a QR code to scan and an option to create a link. I generally use it to request money from my bandmates if I've booked the rehearsal studio as you can set the amount and a custom description for the transaction to appear on their bank statement, e.g. if you sold an Ampeg amp, you could call the description "[your name] Ampeg amp purchase via BC" or something similar that fits within any space constraints.
  9. I've used anyvan.com before for "man and van" services, although the actual people in vans prefer not to use it because of the fees that get added on.
  10. Another option is with Monzo you can generate a link so someone can pay by debit card and the money will go into your account immediately without you having to give out your bank details, if that was a concern. You could set up an account just for doing transactions such as this (if you use my referral link here we'll both get £5 - no pressure though...).
  11. I would say that if the money's in your account then job's a good un. I've paid by bank transfer to several fine members of this site and been paid likewise by others from elsewhere.
  12. Sod that, it's over 25 years old so it's vintage 🤣
  13. I've seen some bad reviews online but I've never had a bad experience and have a grand total of £1.09 in loyalty points to spend!
