  1. In an ideal world it'd be 300W. NB this is the maximum possible output so in the real world if you had a 250W cab you would probably be OK.
  2. Can confirm Dave was well worth chatting to about this and Ashdown's aftersales performance was a big part of my reasoning for getting my ABM600.
  3. I'm surprised how much off the shelf stuff there is in there, like his signature pickups, signature Tech21 pedal and the Fender Kingman electro-acoustic bass.
  4. Was that The Old Post Office? Most of my band is based around Cleckheaton but I'm in Cas and our guitarist is near Normanton so I'm on the hunt for potential venues in the Five Towns.
  5. You can get brand new RSD ones at GG for about £550 at the moment
  6. They've hit Sweetwater in the US: https://www.sweetwater.com/store/manufacturer/Sadowsky. Still no news on Europe alas.
  7. Logged on this morning and things have gone all weird. Has the default site layout changed, and is there a way to change it back to what it was before?
  8. Indeed. If one were going to pay this fee it had better come with a guarantee for a certain number of slots otherwise it's not worth it for artists. This just seems like a blatant money grab by the venue.
  9. Do it again - QOTSA
  10. Baby Charles, n'est-ce pas?
  11. Sounds like I dodged a bullet with mine then. Originally ordered from Andertons but it was going be delayed by a couple of months, so I cancelled and ordered from Thomann, and narrowly got it delivered before a) Christmas and b) Brexit.
  12. And even us grumpy, cynical old gits aren't grumpy and cynical about everything
  13. Damn, that's gorgeous.
  14. You might get some grief from your band for being too loud though, but you can safely ignore them as they're wrong 🤣
  15. Indeed, this is what warranties are for
  16. Just as an aside, at our gig on Saturday we had people up and dancing to a good number of our tunes, but interestingly when we played Dakota was where people went to the bar and sat down, where usually it's a guaranteed crowd pleaser. Just goes to show!
  17. Get in there quick though, they go in and out of stock like nobody's business!
  18. GLWTS, these are fine basses!
  19. Variety is good, and there's definitely a wide variety of songs there, but you potentially run the risk of turning the audience off with the less popular songs. I guess it depends on what your target audience is. It may be worth building up a catalogue of songs you can play and tailoring your set lists to the venue; i.e. you probably wouldn't play the same songs in a rock pub that you would in a working men's club or at a wedding. At 12/14 songs per set I'm guessing you're aiming at an hour per set? Any encores?
  20. The TE Elf is a little marvel though to be fair.
  21. Exactly my philosophy! I can confirm that the ABM600 pairs really nicely with a Barefaced Two10.
  22. This is the way
  23. Headroom is good apparently, so if you can afford it go for the 600. I have it and it sounds awesome, but I'm starting to realise I'll probably never get close to getting the full 600W out of it so I'm sticking with my headroom hypothesis...
