  2. First thread I've seen on here being Godwin'd!
  3. That's fair enough and will depend on how well you trust the seller. The Monzo links all start monzo.me so hopefully this will start to get the word out there that such links aren't scammy.
  4. In the app if you go to the payments tab then request money, click "by QR code or link", it'll give you a QR code to scan and an option to create a link. I generally use it to request money from my bandmates if I've booked the rehearsal studio as you can set the amount and a custom description for the transaction to appear on their bank statement, e.g. if you sold an Ampeg amp, you could call the description "[your name] Ampeg amp purchase via BC" or something similar that fits within any space constraints.
  5. Ooh Aah ... Just A Little Bit - Gina G
  6. I've used anyvan.com before for "man and van" services, although the actual people in vans prefer not to use it because of the fees that get added on.
  7. Another option is with Monzo you can generate a link so someone can pay by debit card and the money will go into your account immediately without you having to give out your bank details, if that was a concern. You could set up an account just for doing transactions such as this (if you use my referral link here we'll both get £5 - no pressure though...).
  8. This time next year and I'd have bitten your hand off. GLWTS!
  9. I would say that if the money's in your account then job's a good un. I've paid by bank transfer to several fine members of this site and been paid likewise by others from elsewhere.
  10. Sod that, it's over 25 years old so it's vintage 🤣
  11. I've seen some bad reviews online but I've never had a bad experience and have a grand total of £1.09 in loyalty points to spend!
  12. Devil Woman - Cliff Richard
  13. Hi all, I've had my P-bass for nearly 25 years now, owned from new, and I'm wondering how worn frets need to be to require any attention. Below are a couple of shots of the first fret, but I'm not sure if this is OK to keep playing (I've not noticed any issues) or if a fret dress might be worthwhile at some point, or if it's actually worn to the point of needing replacement. Any thoughts?
  14. Me, Myself & I - De La Soul
  15. I've only ever spoken to Dave over the phone but he seems like a thoroughly decent chap. That was a factor in confirming my decision to stick with Ashdown ABM amps when I was looking for a new one.
  16. Sheep - Pink Floyd
  17. "I'm Eric Clapton and Black Lives Matter!"
  18. Eventually we will again too!
  19. Happiness Is A Warm Gun - The Beatles
  20. The Squier VMs are great basses - I used to have a VM70s Jazz and I still miss it, but the need to eat was more pressing than the need to bass at the time. Compared to a Squier or a Sire the SMX may not be great value, but compared to a US Fender or a Sadowsky MetroLine they're probably going to be fantastic value. You could probably say the same of the Player Plus as well as the Sire V10.
