  1. I've used anyvan.com before for "man and van" services, although the actual people in vans prefer not to use it because of the fees that get added on.
  2. Another option is with Monzo you can generate a link so someone can pay by debit card and the money will go into your account immediately without you having to give out your bank details, if that was a concern. You could set up an account just for doing transactions such as this (if you use my referral link here we'll both get £5 - no pressure though...).
  3. This time next year and I'd have bitten your hand off. GLWTS!
  4. I would say that if the money's in your account then job's a good un. I've paid by bank transfer to several fine members of this site and been paid likewise by others from elsewhere.
  5. Sod that, it's over 25 years old so it's vintage 🤣
  6. I've seen some bad reviews online but I've never had a bad experience and have a grand total of £1.09 in loyalty points to spend!
  7. Devil Woman - Cliff Richard
  8. Hi all, I've had my P-bass for nearly 25 years now, owned from new, and I'm wondering how worn frets need to be to require any attention. Below are a couple of shots of the first fret, but I'm not sure if this is OK to keep playing (I've not noticed any issues) or if a fret dress might be worthwhile at some point, or if it's actually worn to the point of needing replacement. Any thoughts?
  9. Me, Myself & I - De La Soul
  10. I've only ever spoken to Dave over the phone but he seems like a thoroughly decent chap. That was a factor in confirming my decision to stick with Ashdown ABM amps when I was looking for a new one.
  11. Sheep - Pink Floyd
  12. "I'm Eric Clapton and Black Lives Matter!"
  13. Eventually we will again too!
  14. Happiness Is A Warm Gun - The Beatles
  15. The Squier VMs are great basses - I used to have a VM70s Jazz and I still miss it, but the need to eat was more pressing than the need to bass at the time. Compared to a Squier or a Sire the SMX may not be great value, but compared to a US Fender or a Sadowsky MetroLine they're probably going to be fantastic value. You could probably say the same of the Player Plus as well as the Sire V10.
  16. Looks like a Gibson Les Paul to me.
  17. Not counting Squiers, the nearest equivalent Fender range is the Player Plus, where are currently retailing for c. £1k. Assuming all the lessons of the past have been learned and the new SMXs retail for (say) £850 for a 4-string, adding the VTC preamp and selling the old one would still make them less than the Fender.
  18. Want to? Yes. Can afford to? No. Space to store two extra cabs? Definitely not.
  19. Same, and have used it for exactly that purpose!
  20. I'm sure in the past both sides have realised that something had gone wrong and agreed not to be d*cks about things, but I imagine there would be people who would try and enforce it.
  21. Honestly this is the biggest bargain on that site: https://thebassgallery.com/collections/bass/products/fender-jazz-bass-1992. I'm sure that £5 off £20k makes all the difference...
  22. It's still showing as available at the original price for me.
