  1. Venmo isn't a thing in the UK so you may not be able to find it. PayPal might be a more universal option, or a bank account that allows you to pay via URL like Monzo.
  2. Nice. I wonder if my son will take up the drums, having been interested in seeing a drummer out in Leeds the other week, and seeing Nandi Bushell on Teen Titans Go.
  3. You wouldn't need to pay US income tax unless you earn over $70k in a year (I think) but you may still have to file, in which case you'd need an ITIN number. If you do have to file and do end up earning over $70k then you'd claim that back as foreign earned income exclusion. The US tax system is extremely complicated and long-winded so good luck with that!
  4. Contactless payments aren't common at all in the US (seriously, my MIL still has to sign receipts when she comes over here, which always leads to cashiers scrambling to find a pen and/or having to call a supervisor) so I'd suggest using Monzo, Venmo or PayPal.
  5. Covers band called Replicater. The band was going long before I joined but I assume this is an attempt to be different and not just a typo. Doesn't stop everyone else spelling it the "correct" way.
  6. It's depressing as I want one of these but won't have the funds until May at the earliest 😭
  7. Apologies if I'm preaching to the converted but have you tried MM's signature strings? If not he talks in this video about finding more or less what you're after with them.
  8. As I'm from the Wirral you have a kindred spirit here!
  9. Ah, another expat from the right side of the Pennines!
  10. Yeah, we split ours equally among the five of us
  11. Welcome! Where in God's Own Country are you?
  12. Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds - The Beatles
  13. I'm tempted by such an arrangement myself, our singist does like coming within my potential strike zone. I'm not sure a P-bass to the skull would go down well!
  14. I'd love this to be still available this time next month, but at that price I'm not hopeful. GLWTS!
  15. Unfortunately postponed owing to our guitarist having food poisoning. Thankfully rescheduled in a month's time.
  16. OK, in chronological order... Hohner Rockwood (came with my Hohner Rockwood Pro bass as a package) Laney combo of some description (it was a while ago, I forget) Trace Elliott Boxer 65 Marshall Super Bass Marshall JCM800 4x12 Ashdown AVM EVO (on semi-permanent loan from @Merton) SWR Workingman's 2x10T Ashdown MAG 4x10 Barefaced Two10S
  17. Possibly the shortest list yet, but in order (bolded with still own): Hohner Squier Wesley Squier Sire
  18. Mmm, I miss my Marshall Super Bass. Alas I had to sell it just as we went into lockdown in 2020 (I was robbed too, only got £900 for it! 😢) but it had just had a complete internal overhaul by someone who specialises in vintage valve amps so it sounded freaking amazing.
  19. If you're new to bass it would definitely be worth getting someone more experienced to run you through how to set it up properly. There are plenty of online guides (this is Fender's) but if you're not sure what you're doing then seeing someone else do it and be able to ask questions will be invaluable. Hopefully you'll soon feel confident enough to do your own setups.
  20. I always believed that he was pitching his courses towards wannabe session players. I managed to score a lifetime membership a couple of years ago so I tend to dip in and out whenever something particularly interesting comes along.
  21. I have a Barefaced Two10S and it sounds pretty old school by design
