If you can get hold of some cheap multipacks of D'Addario strings you can enter the code on their Player's Circle website, and in not a lot of time you'll be able to get a free set from them. They occasionally have offers on too, which is why I'm currently rocking a set of the XT series bought for the equivalent of £9.

Not necessarily, the likes of EVH, Geddy, etc. also had to compose those iconic pieces as well as play them (and in the case of Geddy sing over the top of them), so if people think those folks are the GOAT then that's still perfectly valid. The fact that new generations of virtuosos are coming through just means those legends will have competition in the GOAT lists in a few years. -
I go back and forth between my P and my J-style. Sometimes I think I haven't played one for a while so I'll give it a go, love it, play it for a while, then repeat the cycle with the other one.

Hi all, I've been playing bass for about 26 years, although unfortunately time doesn't equal ability as I'm still very much an intermediate-level player. Currently playing in a 5-piece band covering some 80s/90s/00s standards (or crowd pleasers if you prefer) but I'll pretty much give anything a go from Motown to metal!
