Chris sold me a pedal. Great guy to deal with!

Very nice! Looks great with either pickguard but the all black look would be my choice. They're lovely little basses - gutted I need to move mine on but need to keep the wife happy!

Big gig coming up this weekend - gratuitous gear pics!

Everything about this looks excellent. Enjoy! -
A great and rare 30” bass in shell pink. Circa 1997. Approx 3.8kg. I’ll probably regret this one but the band I use it in has ended. Fitted with TI short scale (actually “32”) flats. Will come with a gigbag. The bass doc set this up beautifully and made me a pearl pickguard and fitted a humbucker. The cavity was enlarged but the pickguard covers it. It can be returned to stock with only a screwdriver. When I bought it the original pickup didn’t work so I had it rewound by ghost pickups and it’s great - like an early P bass. There’s plenty of road wear which gives it character. I’ve never had a bass which gets so many positive comments at gigs. Happy to consider trades with cash either way for a Hofner contemporary club/violin or a stingray type. Happy to post for £25 - I have bass boxes and packaging. Welcome to try it out if you’re in the area. I’ve had a PJ and a JMJ mustang and much prefer this.

For sale: Yamaha BB1024. Circa 2013. Great passive PJ bass, only selling as I need to shift this to honour the '1 in, 1 out' rule and keep the wife happy! It’s working perfectly and has a few dints on the body and some buckle rash on the back. 40mm nut. Around 4.5kg. £500 posted, Whitley Bay. The only thing I could be tempted with is part exchange for a 4 string stingray or Hofner contemporary with cash either way. Happy to post - I’ve got a bass box and lots of packaging. I've had flats, tapes and rounds on it and it sounded great with them all! I believe the P pickup is alnico and the J is ceramic, which is why the J is so powerful and can be used on it's own with no volume drop. The sustain is ridiculous even when strung through the bridge, when strung though the body it seems almost endless! It has been set up by Bass Doc and has had a new switchcraft jack socket as the original was crackly. This guy demonstrates the range of sounds well- https://youtu.be/B2Ozm0eAAmE?si=1l-sakTgWpGHymH1

Would love a precision! Agreed, should have dots rather than blocks. -

Popping this here in case any of you BB fans are interested. Seems like a good price but is out of my budget. https://www.sellusyourguitar.co.uk/product-page/yamaha-bb-2004-natural-gloss-2005-electric-bass

That BB1000 looks good. The tuners take a special tool which tightens the sleeve up - stopped the rattles on mine and firmed the tuner action up

The honeymoon period is over and I'm still very happy. I've swapped strings with the BB1024 so the BB1000 now has La Bella low tension flats which suits it perfectly for my playing style and sound, and have put the D'Addario rounds on the BB1024 for my slap needs...

Not sure how to price this one (they tend to go for 80-90 is used working condition)- it was working perfectly for a gig, then the next day nothing at all - not even a dry signal through it with the true bypass on either mains or battery. Might be an easy fix - I have no electronics knowledge at all. I’ve opened it up and nothing looks obviously wrong to me. Price includes uk mainland postage.

NBD - I know some BC members won't like it - but I do
AndyTheBassBison replied to Marc S's topic in Bass Guitars
Yeah me too - they’ve recently reissued them and they’re more or less the same thing I think, available in short scale also. Prices new are absolutely daft though.- 168 replies
