1. May I suggest the Sadowsky thread!
2.
Snobbish and condescending
Good to know I'm keeping up to my own high standards. FWIW, I don't currently own a Sadowsky. I had an NYC and I didn't like the tone - but I realise that was more to do with me than the bass.
3.
By a frankly stupid remark like that, it tells me you haven't read the thread properly and have missed the point and your response doesn't actually hold a as valid point.. Read the whole thread!!
There's nothing stupid about my remark, and you calling it stupid is offensive. Maybe we should ban you from basschat so my boss doens't get offended when he reads your posts over my shoulder?
4.
An FHM wallpaper on an office computer, would get most people in trouble at work.
Browsing a bass website would get most people in trouble at work. Get back to work and do what you're paid to do, not post on basschat.
5. This thread is hilarious. A bunch of people who don't own Sadowsky basses telling those who do and gig them regularly that they're poor sounding basses. Basschat gold for all the wrong reasons.
6.
Silly money for production basses, IMV.
One of the most ridiculous posts I've ever read on this forum. Did you think before you wrote?
7. Bump - again this is for sale at Bass Direct and you can try it out there. You can also use your credit card or Mark's interest free option to buy it. Otherwise I'd be happy to take offers here Cheers, Joe.
8. That's more like it! !
9.
USAGC or something which are the same people who allegedly supply Sadowsky.
This simply isn't true Steve. Come on ;-)
10. Gigbag - what goes in yours? Not the one with your bass in, the one with the cables. I'm looking at filling mine out a bit more. Currently put in: - a spare for each lead - a full set of metric and imperial allen keys - a spanner that fits straplocks - a spare set of strings - band banner - cable ties to attach banner - knife to cut down banner after set What do you put in yours? Also, any recommendations for a bag? Currently using my 10 year old school satchel. Rawk N Roll.
11. I don't take drugs, but if taking drugs makes you feel as good as I feel when I get off stage with my band I can see why people take drugs.
12.
Well that's the point really - should we have to be worried about this on a music forum? There are other forums that I avoid during office hours because I know the content is all over the place and essentially un-modified, but should I have to worry about this with BC?!
13. I don't know if this would help but I'd buy the Sadowsky pickups and preamp from you - as long as they were the single coil pups.
14. Give the basslines a listen Andy. They're great.
15.
Expensive Fender copies.
... says the man with a Pedulla Rapture :D
16. I think it slightly depends on if you bought a new or a second hand amp.
17. GHS contact core super steels?
18. I love it
19. I've never had a preamp drain the battery that fast... stupid question - you're not leaving the cable plugged in are you Al?
20.
The fact that they're charging an extra £4000 for a truss rod and a different type of metal bridge just illustrates how bloated and excessive they have become. I was a long time defender of Fodera's prices, saying "It's their shop, you can choose not to shop there" but they truely now seem detached from reality. Extremely uncool - perhaps even more embarassing when you consider the likes of Wal, Status, Phil Kubicki etc etc will make you a better bass anyway!
Many watch makers will charge much more than a £4000 premium to go from a Steel to a Titanium variant.
21. It depend where I'm coming from and what I'm playing next... also where I'm playing on the neck.
22. Awsome duder
23. Awsome - quality rig.
24. I don't think you'd notice in tone terms, but you'd definitely notice the reduced deadspots.
25. The turquoise with blocks is too OTT for me, but the solid blue with the plain fretboard is fantastic. I'd love it.
