I've been playing bass for nearly 3 years and I can tell you anything about basses, but I know pretty much nowt about cabs, amps and generally 'that' end of the equipment scale. So as a nOOb to this kind of thing, can someone please tell me the difference between a preamp and a normal amp if there are any differences?
