  1. Also interesting is the transition from slab to curved fretboard during 61 to 62.
  2. I cannot find a reference to whether the electronics and truss rod are still working? The bass and case looks like they have been stored in a location subject to varying humidity resulting in the quite deep corrosion of the chrome and nickel plating. The back of the neck looks a bit rough too. The pickguard looks perfect with no cracks. Although the provenance is interesting I don't think the Rascals connection adds value unless a family member or seriously dedicated fan gets involved in bidding. If it still works and can be cleaned and set up without refinishing the neck we could expect a dealer to list it in the region of £15k +/- £2k. The lack of original case could impact that to a certain degree. If I wanted a 62P I'd be happy to pay £6k plus fees (£2k) for that as it is.
  3. I actually meant to quote this 63 not the 66! Dirt cheap in comparison to the 66.
  4. For that money you can have my 1961!
  5. Agreed the HCT is a much higher quality bass than the Ignition series, but it should be as it costs twice as much.
  6. Did you realise there's a screw missing from one of the machine head gears?
  7. Pretty much as new condition Tech 21 VT Bass Deluxe DI pedal for sale. This enables the saving of six separate settings so you can call upon all your favourite Ampeg tones from clean to extreme overdrive plus some additional fx loop functionality. More details here:- https://www.tech21nyc.com/archive/vtbass-deluxe/ Priced at £225 including original box, paperwork, sticker and UK mainland postage. Thanks for looking.
  8. That's in amazing condition if all original and a bargain at that price. The 57 is an iconic precision. I'm sure a certain dealer would price it much higher than £11k.
  9. SOLD. These knobs will give your Musicman bass the original 1976 vibe. The line is really useful in showing where the non centre detented pots are on the 2 band EQ. Price is £32 including UK mainland postage for a set of three knobs. (Buying this set from Farnell costs £53.90 including VAT, handling and carriage from the USA). Thanks for looking.
  10. It's a shame you cut the headstock off the full length photo so we could see it in relation to the whole bass. The other shot perspective makes the headstock look massive
  11. That looks like a logo from a Fender amp. Case might not be original or it lost its logo at some point.
  12. Just bought a Fender stealth string retainer from Ian. Great price with first class post and packaging. Trade with confidence. Thanks Ian.
  13. That seller is a studio that appears to run a sideline business listing its instruments on Ebay for high prices. Take a look at its other items on Ebay.
  14. User manual is online and states that mains input voltage can be set very easily for any region.
  15. I love to see the signs of wear on an old bass showing it has been played regularly through the years but sometimes they look like the previous owner(s) just couldn't care less for it. This one is borderline for me and some of the chipping around the body edge looks a bit "manufactured".
  16. Are we sure there aren't bridge saddles underneath that chrome cover?
  17. Although 51 to 54 is a super rare era I just don't like those Ps as much as the 57 and Js.
