  1. SOLD - Excellent condition Ampeg Micro VR stack. Although this mosfet powered class AB head is rated by Ampeg as 200 watts at 4 ohms it was lab tested by Bass Gear Mag as 160 watts at 8 ohms and 259 watts at 4 ohms. Although it looks like a cutie, put it on top of an Ampeg 810 and it'll do a pretty good SVT impression and go louder than a V4B. Micro VR head £130 collected or local meet up near Hertford. The SVT210AV is a fantastic medium duty cab that makes this mini rig sound like a scaled down SVT; it won't go metal loud or earthquake deep but it really is Ampeg though and through. SVT210AV £150 collected or local meet up near Hertford. Head and cab £250 collected or local meet up near Hertford. SOLD - Thanks for looking.
  2. 2000 Honeyburst Les Paul. My favourite Gibson 'burst colour.
  3. SOLD - Beautiful Honeyburst Gibson Les Paul bass. Final inspection card dates it March 5th, 2000. Mahogany body and neck with ebony fingerboard, mother of pearl trapezoid inlays and bound maple top. TB Plus pickups. Weight 10lbs according to me stepping on and off of digital bathroom scales many many times but could be a few ounces lighter or heavier. Tapping with knuckles on both top and back indicate this has hollow chambers designed to lighten the weight. For a slab bass sized body of mahogany this is not too heavy. There are a couple of small knocks which I have photographed and some light bucklerash to the back which I couldn't get to show. The white lines that go from one of the knocks towards the binding are just reflections, not scratches. Any questions or additional photos please ask, cheers. £850 £750 collected or local meet up from Hertford. Thanks for looking. The white lines running from the lower knock to the front of the bass are just reflections, not scratches.
  4. SOLD - As new condition Italian made Markbass Distorsore Valve (12AX7) Bass Distortion Pedal with 12v power supply, instructions and original packaging. It's never even seen a strip of Velcro! SOLD - £100 Price includes shipping to UK mainland; cheaper for collection from Hertford. Thanks for looking.
  5. Geoff bought a chorus pedal from me recently. He paid no issues.
  6. I couldn't agree more (which is why I have two! Unfortunately having recently purchased a 4003S something of a similar value has to go. If I remember correctly this was around £2,500 new.
  7. Yes, it's a jazz neck that has had the headstock shaped to an early Precisionesque profile.
  8. More pronounced is the proportion of 5 string basses up for sale on here at any time. What's that all about? Question for another forum but still......
  9. Thanks and no; the LM3 changed to class D in 2012.
  10. I own quite a few amps (Markbass, Ampeg, Ashdown, Hartke, Bugera, Line 6, GK and Trace Elliot) and like them all for what they do. Some needed extra effort for me to understand how to get my tonal preference but I am happy to gig with any (not the 75lb Bugera though!) but my go to is my 10 year old class AB Markbass LM3. If I don't need as much power I'm happy to use my recently acquired TE AH200. I really couldn't care less what a rig looks like, it's only the sound for me. I find it mildly amusing when pot bellied middle aged pub rockers (that includes me btw) suddenly get fussy about what the backline looks like. To me black, white, silver, red, flurescent green, yellow or whatever are all fine.
  11. If I didn't already have an SR1200 I'd be sorely tempted by this even though I'm selling another SR bass already. Probably the most ergonomically designed bass range there is: light thin bodies with lightning fast necks and easily upgradeable because of the standard size Bartolini pickups.
  12. Looking at sending basses via Parcelforce because I'm close to a depot but musical instruments are excluded from enhanced insurance. The limit is £300 so any bass of a decent value can't be covered. I'd happliy courier if I could find a reliable service. Anyone got recommendations for £750 plus basses please? Many thanks.
  13. No, that would be medium scale. It's a short scale = 30 inches.
  14. It's actually not as white as the photos appear. My phone seems to bleach subtle tones. It is a pale cream ( similar to olympic white) which is even nicer than it looks on here.
  15. Sorry, I'm having a major gear clearout and won't be looking for trades unfortunately.
  16. SOLD - I've photographed this bass next to a Precision (which is also for sale on here) to show its size. It's in excellent condition having lived in a bespoke gigbag. It's very well made with a beautiful figured tiger stripe maple neck, dark rosewood fretboard, high mass bridge, through body stringing and passive humbucker with tone and volume pots. Weight is appox 7.25lbs measured by me with and without on my digital bathroom scales (so a few ounces either side tolerance). Price is £180 collected or local meet up from Hertford. Thanks for looking
  17. Heavyweight Equals Fabulous Tone (HEFT).
  18. You do know what. You're just afraid of igniting the ceramic sounds bestest firestorm! 🙊
  19. Indeed I do but it's a big place; whereabouts?
  20. Hi Rob, Sorry but I'm having a major clearout and won't be looking for trades unfortunately.
  21. What!!!!? It's only only supposed to look like I'm trying to thin the herd. Thanks all the same.
