1. Hi there, I will shortly be leaving the country (1st week August) and unfortunately this superb cab can't come with me. The sound from these things is amazing - easily the best cab i've owned and that includes EBS Proline, Ampeg, etc, etc. Handles a 5 string no problem. The technical bits can be found in this thread, along with comments about how good these are (including past comments from me). http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...&hl=ebs+neo The cab is in excellent condition due to a custom heavy-duty leather style cover I had made for it (not cheap - £50+). There are a few scuffs on the plastic protective corners and the EBS badge is held on with a sticky pad as the tiny plastic clip is broken (it was like this when I got it and it hasn't come off in 2+ years). All very minor things but just being honest. The cab has never been "pushed" (these things have a 600W power rating - i've never come anywhere near to that). If you need one, I will also throw in a heavy duty jack-to-speakon lead and a speakon-to-speakon lead as this cab is speakon only. The cab will be availabe on 31st July as I have a gig that I'm committed to on the 30th. The reason i'm listing this so early is that pickup will have to be between the 31st July (Sat) or 4th August (Wed). We fly the next day so it has to be gone by then! I will post photos asap. Collection is definitely preferred (Bristol) but I will post (at your expense) if needs be. Looking for £400. ** NOW SOLD PENDING PAYMENT ** Thanks, Bryan

3. Selling a Gator 4U Portable Rack bag in excellent condition. A top bit of kit - just surplus to needs right now. Has zips front and back for easy access and has a very handy pouch on top for leads, strings, etc, etc. Much easier to carry around than the plastic ones due to the heavy duty straps and handles. These go for about £60 new + postage. Mine is offered at £35 + postage (i'm guessing £10 but will confirm if needs be) or collection from Bristol. Here's one on ebay that has all the details: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/GATOR-4U-PORTABLE-RA...=item5ad24292cf Thanks, BBass
4. Just to add that i've got one of these and it's easily the best cab i've ever owned. That includes EBS 4x10's 2x10's and 1x15's (all Proline), Ampeg SVT, Ashdown and Trace. This is the only cab you need - handles a 5 string easily and sounds amazing. I'd only ever consider getting rid of mine if 2 EBS Neo 1x12's came up. Good luck with the sale.
5. Bump. Had interest but can longer contact the buyer.
6.
Where abouts are you based?
Very sorry - I should have mentioned that i'm in Bristol. Thanks.
7. *SOLD* I have for sale a Stewart Audio World 1.2 power amp. The amp is very lightweight - 11lbs and is just 1U high. From the Stewart site: Two Channel Amplifier, optimized to drive 4 Ohm and 8 Ohm loads. Convection Cooled (No Fans) Clean Full–Range Dynamic Power World Class Reliability Bridgeable Ultra Efficient Switch Mode Power Supply 350W x 2 @ 4 Ohms 200W x 2 @ 8 Ohms 1200W x 1 @ 4 Ohms bridged 700W x 1 @ 8 Ohms bridged This thing is seriously powerful. It can be used for many application but has been adopted by the bass community for it's sheer power. Look for reviews on harmony central, etc. Note that this is US made unit and therefore requires a step down transformer (not supplied). Offered at £120. Note the Ampeg and Case are not included. Thanks, BBass

Surprised they still make them as I haven't seen one for years. Just checked their website though (www.tuneguitars.com) and they make quite a few different models. Prices seem pretty reasonable too... Bryan

Excellent basses. A friend of mine had a fretted 4 that was an absolute dream to play and sounded amazing. The neck was so fast and smooth. Very, very impressive. Do they still make Tune basses? Have a bump!
10. Very, very nice Rich. Stunning S2. Am interested to know what basses the OP was having issue with... Bryan
11. Very glad it worked out for you. Despite the experince I still love Status basses and have been lurking on this site for a while looking for another. Back to the topic, I've always thought that Yamaha can't be beaten in QC for the money. I've never had a duff Yammie (bass or guitar) and they're so cheap. Bryan
12. Just saw your reply Rich. Maybe mine was a rare "dog" but it's no fun parting with that kind of cash and consider it a bit of a con. How come you ended up selling your custom orders (if you don't mind me asking)? Bryan
13. @ OutToPlayJazz Hi there, I notice you've got quite a few Status basses listed in your sig and you praise them earlier in the tread. Out of interest, did you order all yours directly? Thanks, Bryan
14. I for one DO have issues with Status basses - at least straight from the factory. I have owned 2 Statuses in the past - a 2nd hand 6 string Empathy which was great (just too many strings for me) and a custom order S1 Classic made by Rob and co. The latter had to be returned immediately (incredibly amount of fret buzz at the 12th fret) and a terrible setup overall. After it's return all I can is that is was an "ok" bass. It didn't sound anything special (through 2 EBS rigs and an Ampeg setup) and I've had basses costing way less than half the price which sound much better. The actual finish of the bass was very disappointing too. A review in Guitarist showed the most amazing quilted top and the finish on my Empathy was simply stunning. Not this one. Very dull finish - you had to really look for the quilitng. Overally I was very disppointed considering the money paid (as everyone knows, they're not cheap) and especially considering I'm no snob when it comes to gear (I'll happily play a cheap Yammie and have done so for years). The experience changed my buying outlook altogether and these days I would definitely want to actually play something before spending anything over about £400. BBass
15. I'm new here but really enjoyed reading this thread. Some fantastic basses listed in the previous posts... Mine: Encore P/J - First bass. Terrible Yamaha RBX300 - Gigged for over 10 years (3 times per week) until neck split. Fantastic. Yamaha 5 string - can't remember model. Good. Stolen by ex-girlfriend. Status Empathy 6 string - Great but too many strings... Ibanez P/J SR series - Surprisingly good but not my cup of tea Status S1 Classic - Brand new custom order. Very poor - had to send it immediately back due to terrible buzzing on 12th fret. Disappointing sound. Totally overrated and very expensive. Anyone else had one of these? Musicman Stingray 5. Amazingly bought for £320 (immaculate 2nd hand) when US exchange rate was $2 to £1. Fantastic neck but never got on with the sound. "Bitza" bass. Jazz body, Moses graphite neck, Barts. Done as a project but result not as good as hoped. Cheers, Bryan
16. Thanks Nik for making the purchase so easy. Can't priase Nik enough in his communication, excellent packing / delivery and for being a thoroughly nice bloke. Highly recommended to all. Can't believe I've not seen this site before but I'm sure I'll make up for lost time! Looking forward to trying the GK out on the weekend - sounding great through an EBS Neo 2x12 All the best, Bryan
17. My first experience here and it couldn't have been better. Nik is obviously a top fella who cares about any buying / selling he does. GK amp i've received was packaged very well and promptly delivered. Any questions were answered promptly and in a friendly and helpful manned. Couldn't ask for more really. Thanks Nik. Best regards, Bryan
