You did not mention it as a common tonewood what you said was as above which is as I said EBMM seemed to get away with it (professionals as opposed to silly billy in his shed)
You can defend silly billy all you like but he doesn't compare to professional builders of timber products.
I had to put up with them in the furniture factory. I can do I can do I can do. But they cant!
That multi laminate set neck with a multi laminate scarf joint is an abomination
Poplar is famous for moving hence it gets used in non critical internal frames.
Buy at your peril
Please be gentle with us someone dropped a tab in my coffee at middle earth in covent garden when I was just 14 to 15. Didn't know what the f***k had happened to me until I was 16 and had it legitimately😂
I see CLF Research are having a pickup and body sale.
Has anyone tried them out in Fenders, Squiers, P basses etc.
Whats the opinion on the pickups compared to original fitment items?
Any good as replacements or upgrades?
Thanks for the encouragement. Sorry about the missing sound at the beginning. One area I find with YT is vocals sound good in the room but always seem a bit flat on YTube
That was the first time we all played together as a band and Steven who led the worship was standing in for another guy and leading for the first time. Until this week I have only seen him playing bass. Before Thursday I didn't even know he played guitar.
So onwards and upwards.
I use either of these

Both comfortable
It had it's first public outing yesterday in church.
I ran it through the 12" speaker of an Ashbury combo as a low level monitor and it was DI from the send into the FOH desk.
They loved it.
Played for the church I moved to for the first time this weekend. Rehearsal on Thursday evening and two services yesteday one at 9.30 and again at 11.30.
We used the little H B Mighty 15 valve amp (shown in another thread on here) plugged into the speaker of an Ashdown EB 180 as a low level monitor and the send from the HB 15 plugged into a DI box to front of house.
They loved it. Valve warmth sent to the desk for them to eq as they need for the mix.
They have everything set up for us all to be on IEM which was a joy to have. We each have a mini mixer on our music stands.
If you check out Aylesbury Vinyard on YouTube you can see the past services and hear how the system sounds.👍
I have a Chinese one shaped like a guitar also cheap. It works with everything inc Roland drums, Roland Aerophone AE30? active basses but it is the only one that does of what I have inc exvive
OK. Sorry to all about insulting all your active basses as well as my own. What I should have said was a great many makes of wireless systems cause hum or whine with active basses which in hindsight is more accurate than my original post.
