Thanks for that. Look forward to seeing how you choose to go. I am getting back into fretless after many years away. I am only just under 5 ft 8 in short but I have shoulders and arms like an Orangutan lol -

I wish I hadn't seen that photo being a long scale fanatic The repair. No need for a dremel. Polish out carefully by hand using something like Solvo Autosol or one of the other auto polishes. If any doubts about the timber below showing through it can be stained with black ink or a Sharpie before you start the gluing and filling process -
You sure you don't want to hollow out a Bongo 🤣

Parcelforce went downhill when they went private and bought in a load of cowboys with white vans. Too much not good enough -
I've taken to putting some of my basses on wall hangers as it keeps them out of cat range. Currently I have three unused wall hangers to put up. Just trying to make sure where I want them before I get out the drill. Already checked for buried cables.

As above cyno it back on. The chips look like it is all there. Any leftover gaps or edges can be drop filled then razor scrap and polish it out. Hint if you can get one a carbide stanley blade makes a great scraper. Incredibly sharp and lasts a long time. If you cant get one on it's own pm me and I will post you one. -
Messed about with Warwick 5er - £350
Ralf1e replied to TheGreek's topic in eBay - Weird and Wonderful
Bought mine about 6 yrs ago. Did as I said. Gave it to a talented young keyboard player in church who wanted to learn guitar. Just this year. Never been gigged or even out of its bag other than for the set up and new super slinky's Pastors son as it happens they never bought him one. Gave it to him for his 18th bday with a Fender Mustang 2 amp 45 w version. That will keep him in trouble if he plays it at home lol -
Did you buy it? looked like a bargain to me

I haven't read all this. I am sorry I hate that with it's bad shape and the bridge hanging out of it's ar*e. The head stock is an abomination of running out of space and ideas. For mating sake man go to college Its a disgrace to bass kind Is it the first of April already? -

Its horses for courses Gear 4 Music did a LP like 6 string with a spalted maple top. It looked and played really well after I breathed on it. But cost 126 quid or so. It was never going to be like your flame, birdseye top etc but it worked and it did have a real recent version of Mahogany body under the top. Not Honduran or Cuban but what has? Fret dress ends truss rod etc job was a good un. If someone stole it while you were busy breaking down after a gig you would swear but you wouldn't be hurt. Someone tried to do that to my bro many years ago A 1963 Strat but we found it leaning against a wall outside the pub before he could get away with it. Sorry I digress. Point is cheap sometimes serves a purpose and tbh public don't know the difference. Vesta bass Warwick bass most of the time they don't even know your playing a bass. I've even had them come up and ask if I can give them guitar lessons 🤣 -
Just the thing for that 'high end project'

Designed by someone who wants to snuggle into it and have a cuddle

It isn't doing itself any favours by demanding to be photographed on a very nice quality timber floor. Note not the floor but the timber in it

In my thoughts it is a way they have learned to use timber which is useless for anything else or at the least very limited in any application without the added epoxy to stabilize it. It looks good but it is not as a good piece of timber should be. Example Spalted Maple means soft, soggy or plain rotten before it is stabilized. Never heard of it a few years ago did we? Marketing ploy turn a negative into a positive. The art of cheating. I'm trying to be polite 🤣 -
Sometimes people have to try these things to prove that they can't. It is being so defensive about this that I believe is holding the OP back. The man that never made a mistake never made anything but the man that can't and won't admit his own mistakes is unteachable and can't move on. I wouldn't do that to a rare bass without testing the concept on something of a lesser value. Not because I can't but because it isn't wise to do. Before anyone throws stones I am a very skilled woodworker and machinist but I am not a luthier

Close scrutiny required-Peavey content!
Ralf1e replied to yorks5stringer's topic in eBay - Weird and Wonderful
My wife had a son who did this kind of thing to bicycles and other stuff oops So what did Peavey do to upset him. -
The guy that was selling it actually said it was a Satellite Bass in his description of it and what he had done to it pickup wise. We might assumed he knew what he owned Afore anyone bites my head off Copied and pasted from the add Electric Satellite Bass Guitar very sturdy and heavier than usually so quality of build is definitely there and felt when holding and playing. Pickups are Fender Vintage 63" Precision pickups as i installed them myself so guaranteed to give a crisp sound at both treble and bass when slapping, fingering and picking. Plays and sounds very good. Need gone asap. Can deliver locally in London or up for collection. Action feels very good might need new strings but current ones aren't bad.. Can also post it but cost needs to be covered.
