Oh ye of little faith 👍

Yes it is its why the photo shows it as 8lb 1 oz instead of the 8lb 3 oz I quoted. I will get the electronic fishing scale out and check it then we will know for sure.

No widdley diddly wailing guitars. I like it.

There is a point there. It could be run through a synth that takes it down in pitch

I might have to set up a bass with a nice curve over the strings and explore tuning s but it could be worth it. They wont know the difference where I play but it could be used to great effect on softer songs. Now where is that bass I had to lower the action bye 1/4 inch got to 🤣

After a quick listen. Like a bass playing version of JJ Cale voice wise. I like it

Thank you Sir I'll have a look. Reason I asked is because I picked one up at home and tried it out then started to wonder like you do.

Strange question maybe but does anyone have any knowledge of any bass players who ever used bottleneck.

Following the cliche: Precision 62, Sunburst, Tort, Rosewood
Ralf1e replied to SumOne's topic in Bass Guitars
Musical instruments are like fine women. Nearly all the good ones are already in the hands of someone else who has no intention of parting with them. All the others sometimes get left on the shelf and I am not talking about looks here but heart and hidden qualities To the ladies among us the same can obviously be said about men. -
Do you polish it with creme Brulle

It weighs 8lb 3ozs Maybe it is below the quality you are wanting. But I can tell you it has a nice action and does play nicely. Sounds good as well. One of these might be the answer to your need. YN - Y = Yako (Taiwan) Allegedly these Yako Taiwan built models were higher speck than the CN China built models. Personally I have no knowledge to confirm that either way

He didn't have a problem with neck dive that I recal. That was just my observation as to what might happen if you bored large holes into a new guitar or bass Forstner bits will do the job nicely using a drill stand or pillar drill. Not something you want to do to your vintage instrument unless you describe it a radical relic job.

Sorry if this offends but look at Crimson Guitars and see how he worked out the weight prob for his daughter. Bored holes in it using common tools we can buy for our drills. Punched it full of holes job done. But then it will neck dive on you. Shave the neck oops not so easy but that will need to be done as well. Saw a video yesterday about these compared to a Squier CV and a Mex Jazz. It was quoted as being too thick. Sound good they all did. Just glad I bought a Squier 70's CV at the weekend not one of the others.

Prayed for you that quality of life will be restored to you. As others have said Ubass could well help with that. Either a acoustic or solid both are easy to manage. They don't have to break the bank either. This Donner does a surprising job of holding its head up to my Kala Rumbler. Cost peanuts by comparison.

What area was it shipped from and did tracking show where it was last seen? Such a beauty it wont be hard to spot.

No different to putting better quality tyres on your brand new car. Anyway you make a very nice point there. Snob value and fashion does not make a product better. It's advertising and endorsements that make a product better. Surely we all know that. 😉

No I've too plain lazy to do that yet or should I say getting around to cutting the off 😉

Yes it makes easier to make as you just cover up bad routing with a bit of plastic 😀
-
No it means they smooth the wrinkles out of your shirts while you play em 😉
