After having this bass for a couple of months, i have decided that I would prefer a standard P-Bass, I brought it from Bassbloke and his original post is copeied below (I hope you dont mind bass bloke). Comes with Fender Hardcase. Its a great bass that is very versitile in sound, but I get the "feel" from and would prefer a standard. There is a link below in Bassblokes post with photo's. I would like to trade for a Standard US P if possible, what have you got? I would consider adding some cash into the bargain if you have something particularly nice! I would now also accept what I paid for it....£600 + postage cheers.. Andy It's a 2003 instrument with the graphite reinforced neck, 5 bolt neck plate with sculpted heel, 3 tone sunburst, white pickguard, maple fingerboard with MOP inlays and 18v, 3 band EQ. The bass features a split p pickup and a humbucking jazz/musicman type pickup inthe bridge position. This is a very versatile bass. The humbucker and tonnes of bite and a really unique slant to the sound. I'm selling because I'm a 5 string player and lack of a low B (or A in my case) really causes me problems. Instrument comes with straplocks, moulded fender case, truss rod adjustment tool. I'm looking for aound £600. I've uploaded some nice pics to the web http://picasaweb.google.co.uk/hans.stiles/...eluxePrecision# Only blemish is a tiny lacquer chip near top horn which can be seen in the photos

Dear Basschatters, I have a wiring problem with a bass I have, its a Vintage Stingray copy, I changed the Pickup years ago and ended up with a buzzing noise. At the time I could not be bothered to fix it, I have recently got it back out of the cupboard and wondered if anyone could shed some light into how to correctly wire the pickup (Im no electrician).... It is a passive three pot set up, the thrird pot (closest to the neck) being a "push/pull" type. The pickup has four wires (red/white/green/black) and an uninsulated earth. It is currently wired up as: Green = middle pin to 500k pot closest to the jack input Black = earthed to the back of the middle tone pot as is the un-insluatd earth from the pick up Red and Green = middle pin of the push/pull pot that is also earthed by a wire on the pin next to it (I have since disconnected these in the photo) It has a noisey buzz that gets louder when I touch certian parts of the metal parts of the pickup. im guessing one of wires that corresponds to that part of the pickup has been miswired? Please see photo.... HELP!!! thanks, Andy

Hi Basschatters, I have been trying to sell the Fender for ages and can only presume that it is still too dear (any advice guys and girls?) I do however need to sell it by the end of this week, I dont want to trade it back into the place I bought it from that would be a shame, id much rather sell it to one of you! As previously mentioned, it is Fender Precision 1967 in sunburst. All the electrics are original, the fretboard has been replaced at some point, although it is showing a little wear. Its an excelent sounding bass that looks fantastic! It also comes with the original fender hardcase. It needs to go, so im going to drop it below the "golden" two grand mark, but would take an offer. when you see it and play it, you wont be disapointed! It really is a fab bass, plenty of mojo! If someone can pick it up mid week, I would take £1900 ono Come on people, I know everyone is skint in Jan, But I feel this is a real bargin! Its all original apart from the Fretboard, the bass is well used, so im presuming that it needed replacing due to heavy use. There is slight wear on the new fingerboard. The electrics are original, as is the scratch plate. One of the tuners has had the metal washer replaced, but that is hardly noticable. The neck is straight and true. The bridge cover did not come with it (as you know, these were commonly removed), the body is quite light and very well balanced. It plays with ease and looks and sounds great, plenty of mojo! If you are interested, feel free to come and give it a play, I live just outside of Ashford in Kent. I have attached some pictures. £2100 ovno Please feel free to contact me with any questions..
You'll need to make your pics a little bigger! I think you're grabbing the thumbnails from your image hoster instead of the actual pictures. Nice bass though.... from what I can make out!!! Swap you my Stingray 30th!!!
Hmmm, Im at work and i copied themfrom the old sale message, I think I will have to do it at home with the originals!
