1. Ashdown confirmed to me that the Blue ones in the Mag series are identical to the black ones in their new Mag Evo II series - just a different colour I was told that the blue ABM Evo II ones were Fane's by the head dude
2. And we can bring you this latest 'Breaking News' Hamster is reported to be about to come to the front door of number 10 for an historic.... .....no wait, he's just going up to the toilet.....we'll give you further developments on a movement by movement basis
3. Do these only have speakon connections or are they the combined ones where you can also plug in 1/4" jack cables as well?
4. I picked up a black Epiphone Les Paul bass last week and from playing it in the house through my wee Hartke A100, I absolutely love it. Trouble is that its my Rickenbacker 4003s and Fender single coil precisions all over again. Much as I love these basses, I have trouble with the slab body and end up with a lot of wrist pain after using then for a gig. After finishing a gig with my Blue Boy Rickenbacker, I felt like I had arthritis in my right hand. I'm a big chap and this is the main reason I can't use them for long periods, my stomach pushes the bass out a bit - the answer would be to lose the beef and that's what I'm in the process of doing but I was wondering if there are/were any Les Paul basses made with contoured bodies?
5. First gigging rig was a Peavey TNT150 combo which was changed after the first gig for a Trace 7210H cos it wasn;t loud enough. I then added a 1048H cab Would've been using my Riverhead Jupiter bass back then - what an arse I was for selling it - I've been looking for one ever since. 2 weeks to my next gig and I'm sans gear - I should have my Trace 4x12" cab and possibly an Orange Bass Terror by then. My Black precision is on Evilbay until some time tomorrow. Most probably I will be using a Hartke A100 and Epiphone Les Paul bass.
6. i remember him from Bassist as well - sweaty fellow if I remember correctly
7. This is just one of the standard ones - like the MIM Fender Urge bass with just the Jazz pickups.
8. nearly bought that myself then realised that I don;t need one
9. The start price of this bass was £55 and the BiN was £65 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SHINE-5-STRING-ACTIV...=item2a04976bd1 Hello? Plus some PA speakers have built in crossovers so you can plug your amp into the input of the sub and output all the top end into another cab for a cheap bi-amp setup The ones we use have filters so we don't need a crossover but I remember using some speakers in the past that did that - may have been Peavey 2x18"s

Warwickhunt was selling a couple of Peavey cabs a while back that he thought were good with bass.
12. That's what my plan is. Once I get my Trace 4x12" I'll be on the look out for another
13. This looks like my least favourite musicman colour - teal green. For some reason the combination of the 2 pickups, black scratchplate and fretless neck make the colour look really nice on this particular bass - so much so that if i was looking for another fretless I'd be all over this one
14. I've fired it on Ebay to see how things go. This was never a for sale thread and I am aware of the rules on here but thanks for pointing them out for anyone else. My only intension was to see if anyone knew what it might be worth before actually offering it for sale. If I don't get enough for it on Fleabay then I'll split it and sell the individual parts.
15. seriously, this is going on egay tomorrow - let me make up a price :brow:
16. Howdy - if you're offering it for sale then you need to include a price in your listing
17. I have the urge to go back to a 5 string as its been a few years now that I've been using a 4 and I feel that its time for a change again. At the end of last year I put together a bass using top notch parts but am unsure of how much it would be worth so thought I'd get an idea here before I put it up as I don't want to under or overvalue it. The body comes from a brand new MIM Precision with a body date of October 2009. The neck and neck plate are from a mid 80s MIJ Fender Precision. The machineheads are from a 1978 MIA Fender Precision. Allparts mirror scratchplate, CTS pots, switchcraft jack, paper in oil cap, schaller straplocks, Gotoh 201 bridge and for the finale - a Jason Lollar pickup. I'm not going to be selling this to get just any bass. This is a fantastic bass and there is little that could touch it but I am finding the urge to get myself a Stingray 5 string overwhelming. I'm not 100% selling the bass, if its not going to be worth as much as i like or I can't find what i am looking for then I'll keep it until I either change my mind or find a stingray 5 string. I am pretty picky about colour. Its going to have to be Lava Pearl or Black but I could be tempted by other non run of the mill colours or something that bit different. [ Fire away with any thoughts and suggestions but keep any offers to PM only - this isn't a for sale thread, just trying to get an idea of what its worth but if you absolutely must have it then who am I to resist the lure of cash? And the star wars knob stays with me - I have the full set
