1. I saw that one but it looks different to the pictures I've seen. I'm sure it's right though. I've studied various pictures and this is what I have so far I just need to work out the ROS wiring for the jacks
2. Cool - the link I have found is here but I won't be using the 0047 capacitor ( C3 on the schematic )
3. OK I've managed to find the search function on the Rickresource but all links either point to the Rick Schematic or pages that don't exist anymore. Think I may have to find a really clear picture and make a drawing from it
4. I've recently picked up a faker with dodgy wiring and am trying to find a Rick wiring diagram. I've found the schematic on the Rick website but I can't read schematics. Apparently the diagram on the Seymour Duncan website is different to the actual Rick wiring. The Rickresource has threads asking about this with a response of "This has been asked before, check previous threads" but there ain't no search function that I can find. I'm not looking to do the vintage wiring with the pull pot that is on the current model. I've been everywhere I can think of but can't find a readable diagram anywhere. I have all the parts on order but no wiring diagram - can anyone help?
5. I use a neoprene strap and my bass sits almost at a 45 degree angle so everything is straight Not a very good pic but it gives you the idea
6. Yeah - as has been said before try as many as you can I had almost given up on them until I read an interview with Chris Squire where he said he used Herco Heavies ( Apparently Jimmy Page uses them as well ) tried them and they are the dogs sloblock for me. bought a pile of them. really grippy and just the right level of bendiness for me
7. Cor lumme guvnor that is nice and a wee bit like a Lemmy sig Ric and the same price as a standard 4003
8. Where's me washboard? Have you seen it?
9. I've developed uncontrollable gas for a reasonably priced 12 string bass but there's little out there at present. What happened to all the Galveston / Carlo Robelli / etc ones from a few years ago? D'oh, should've kept this one But Dean are re-releasing the Rhapsody 12 so here's hoping it's not silly expensive
10. Without a shadow of a doubt the best fretless I ever owned and I'm in the process of saving for another My old defretted Trace T-bass - first thing I ever sold on Egay all those years ago Yamaha TRB6 II defretted at the Bass Centre and fitted with DR multi coloured strings. 11. This is an Antoria fretless that I used to have and it went to a forum member Even more bizzare is an Aria ZZB that had been defretted, again it went to another froum member I bought this from Rumour6 and stupidly sold it. An early 80s Fernandes Jazz with EMGs I bought this 1963 Hofner from a forum member with the intention of returning it to its former glory but I just didn't have the time. Frets horribly pulled, stripped, painted green then stripped again - that should have been the fate of the person who did this Squier VM Jazz bought from a forum member then went elsewhere
12. Check out my review of the NX115 as these cabs were meant to be paired together.

KAM

My old band used a 2u Kam power amp to power the pa tops and a 3u Carlsbro one for the subs for about 14 years. We then "upgraded" them to 2 Crown 602XLS and one of them blew up after 2 years. One of the channels stopped working on the other one shortly after that
14. I think it was 250 produced but only 150 for Europe. Still, there aren't many of them and I haven't come across another in the flesh. Legend has it that when they switched production of the Geddy Lee from Japan to Mexico that these basses got the first run of the new Mex Geddy necks. Absolutely fantastic basses. Considering how many I've had over the years I've now had this one for 19 months and it still puts a smile on my face when I play it. If I had the dough I'd buy this one and put a fretless maple neck on it.
15. My first bass - a red with maple fretboard Marlin Slammer bought from the Littlewoods catalogue for £99 in 1987 Defretted it by taking a large flat rasp file down the neck which flattened it so had to take it to a guy to reprofile it. I then painted it black by first using pink household undercoat then black emulsion and a large brush. Finally I decided to strip it to the bare wood using a scraper. Other than that all the chrome started peeling off the chrome parts and the strings were rusty as I didn't know you had to change them Went in the bin 4 years after being bought and was replaced with a Riverhead Jupiter As far as properly gig and rehearsal worn out goes I haven't owned a bass long enough to do that. I look after all my stuff so it would take the pickup failing or the frets wearing out to get it to that stage but then that's why Leo put bolt on necks on them so they could be changed
16. I think that these instruments have either arrived damaged or have dodgy necks in some way. It would probably cost them more to pay someone to remove the parts than to just put it up for sale
17. The seller states that they do not know what brand was originally on the headstock so not a genuine Fedner
18. If you're not gigging next Saturday I'm playing in Finnegans. It's not a 2x15" but the trouser flap of the 4x10" and clarity of the 15" allow me to sit in the mix and still cut through nicely. Although I am going through another Flea phase so I may well have the treble cranked and the action lowered by then. I'm actually fighting the urge to buy a Status graphite neck to put on the precision but I think that's going to be on another bass a few months down the line.
19. One 4 string bass and one D-tuner. That's all I need. Used 5, 6, 8 & 12 string basses for years but I really only need one 4 string to do everything
20. Looks exactly like mine but passive and different bridge. I'm glad they changed the bridge, that was the only thing I hated about it. I've got a Gotoh 201 on mine now
21. It's taken a long time for me to get to where I want to be. I've had two Hartke LH500s and a Laney NX115 before but never at the same time. My current setup of NX410 on the floor with the NX115 above it and the LH1000 on top is spectacular. The reasoning being that the 410 pumps out a lot of trouser flapping bass and the NX115 is a really clear cab and at nearly ear level I can hear myself perfectly. Part of my tone is also the green Precision with EMGs into the passive input of the amp which I fitted a JJ ECC83s valve gives me nice subtle overdrive. When we did a sound check the other week, the guitarist said that my sound was consistently good from right in front of the stage to the back of the room and I've never had that before.
