Some more pics as requested Words can't describe how much I don't want to sell this. Its such a stunning bass and if it wasn't for a hefty dental bill then it would be staying right here. If my Trace bright box sells first then I will be withdrawing this. My pics don't do it justice - here's a pic I nicked off the web:

For years I gigged my third bass, a 1999 Musicman Stingray 5 string bought from a real shop. Then I discovered Talkbs in 2006 and Basschat in 2007. I think I'm on basses 85, 88, 91 and 92 at present. I've owned nearly every model of cab that Trace Elliot ever made, probably about 20-30 4x10"s, 2x15"s, 4x12"s, 1x15"s, 2x10"s, 4x5"s, maybe 30 amps. However, I've used the same Brooklyn Gear strap with every single one of them

I have a fully functioning Trace Bright box in very good condition for sale. It had sold on Ebay but the buyer seems to have done a Ronnie Biggs and I can't get a hold of him. Its rated 200w @ 8ohms but it doesn't matter as this can be used even if you are running your amp at its lowest impedence due to things and such like inside, crossover and gubbins. It comes in really handy if you like a lot of top end sparkle and your cab doesn't give you that plus I prefer the sound of the 4 5" drivers to a horn. Anyhoo, I'm looking for £150 ono, postage will be £10

I only recently picked this bass up but I got myself a MIM Jazz locally for a good price so I now need to sell this. It's a black Vintage modified Jazz in black with the maple neck with white pearloid inlays and white binding. It was made in 2010 so has the Duncan Designed pickups rather than the newer Fender designed ones. I've never tried the newer ones so can't comment on if it sounds different or not. Its in really, really good condition but I won't describe it as mint - I keep picking it up to see if I can find any marks but I can't yet see any, the only reason I wouldn't describe it as mint is just in case there's something hiding that I haven't seen. There is some surface oxidation on a couple of the pickup poles, if I have the chance before it sells I'll remove them and give a light wipe over with some steel wool (covers off obviously so that they don't get scratched) I can post this for £15 and I will supply a Fender gig bag to protect it on its journey which will be inside a cardboard box that I have ready to post it in. The bag isn't included as part of the sale as the front accessory pocket zip is burst. the main zip that holds it in is working. Not really sure how to price this so I'll start at £200 ono. Song that sits well with "Lovely Day"

For some reason I immediately thought of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-5EmnQp3V48 -
Did you buy it from new? Trace did have 200w 10" speakers in cabs like the special 4x10" that I think was designed to go with the V-type stuff - Thornybank had one Possible that its been changed before you bought it?

I rarely get mine above 4 in bridge mode either, plus with me having an active bass and using the passive input, the volume really gets loud at that point. Its like those old power showers that you used to get where there was one micron of movement in the heating control between icicles and scalding you

They both have a place depending on what you're after. I've had HA3500, HA5500a, LH500 (x2) & LH1000 The HA models are great if you're looking for a lot of control of your sound but if you want simple and something that sounds good with minimal adjustment the the LH series are the ones to go for

Definitely Chromes. Depending on where you play and how hard you hit the strings they can sounds thick and thuddy or cut like a knife I also discovered tonight that my regular fingerstyle sound makes for a really good slap sound
Don't put it in the corner then! That'll make it very boomy (as you've just discovered).
You never saw the pub Against the back wall is enough but back and side walls was bass city but it was still so clear

I saw that earlier and thought the title was just a load of random words. I was going to contact the seller to say "cabbage bottom fish bananas I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts fnarr"

That would be a hell of a lot of cakes I can't imagine there would be much resale value either - I could always sell them on Ebay later on as ******RARE********COOL*******DISCONTINUED*********CAKES So to answer your question - no. And for others looking I'm not interested in any Tunnocks teacakes, Fray Bentos Steak & Kidley Pies, Werthers Originals and definitely no hot cross buns
The UK distributor, MSL, are the only company who can supply 240v units into the UK. Both DV and Thomann can only supply 230v.
Can someone tell me how this would affect an amp as we've been on 230v ( -6% & +10% ) for a number of years now so everything should work anywhere in Europe. I did wonder why my Hartke arrived with a euro plug inside the box and another 3-pin plug along with it from DV, totally explains why now.
Thanks Dan, and thanks to charic too! DV have (reluctantly) price matched the hartke and thrown in their 4 year warranty so I've went for it. Should be here Friday. Happy! Now, how do I break the news to the wife! Seriously, thanks guys, a 500w hartke for £250! Sick!
nice one - I did exactly the same a couple of weeks ago and got £84 off a Hartke LH1000

I bought as LH1000 as I got a good deal on one, plus it gives me lots of options if I were to change my cab(s) as it's really just a big two channel power amp that is bridgeable with a nice simple preamp. Very loud, very clear compared to most of what I've used before, in fact I can hear fret rattle that I didn't before. I'm only using a single Laney 4x10" and its plenty loud for what I need - I also play with two guitarists and a drummer plus I don't go through the PA. In fact last week when I was gigging my cab was in the corner of the room there was so much bass that it felt like my brain was vibrating but I could still hear every note.

Buckle Rash and various assorted chippings, dinks and dongs
Delberthot replied to Delberthot's topic in General Discussion
So the general concensus is that if you look like a string of sausages when wearing a bass with a belt then you're boned, otherwise you're a clumsy oaf There are so many nice basses for sale now that I love the look of but then I see huge and I mean huge chips out of the paintwork and think How? Those finishes are really tough so you must be trying out your Paul Simonon moves to get them like that surely.
