  1. The RM800 EVO II arrived as B stock from Ashdown Its perfect like new and they seem to have moved the four rubber feet ( thank you Ashdown) Sounds great Nice amp and very loud, my second one I’ve owned now. It will be my back up amp to my EICH T900
  2. I did notice this but switched back to a pick for better consistency in tone
  3. Mines up for sale on here They are fabulous amps and it’s only going as I have too many amps and I need to move it on. Everything about them are good, EQ, compressor, output, etc etc
  4. I like the Boss WL-20 even though it’s in 2.4ghz I just like the style and design of it over the floppy / hinged style units however having anything sticking out of the bass isn’t ideal compared to a jack connection hence why I’ve gone back to the Shure GLXD16+
  5. I would say similar punch from both. When I owned the RM800 it was definitely punchy and loud.
  6. Yep my settings were playing with a pick on the PBass for rock At band rehearsals I turned the taste control to around 11 o clock and it was my perfect sound
  7. I’ve used the Flex triangles and they have a warm tone. My choice is Tortex Blue triangles as the perfect combination
  8. I’ve just ordered the RM800 myself ( I did own one a couple of years back ) Bargain price at Ashdown
  9. EBS Reidmar 752 as new condition Excellent sounding amp, with original box. Price includes shipping in UK As from 18th June I can only ship or meet up locally as I’m moving house this week and trying out amp etc isn’t practical.
  10. I moved mine on knowing how difficult they are to sell due to weight and shipping issues. Miss the rig as it was awesome
  11. Does the VU turn red if you red line it ( it’s supposed to ) mine never did and I couldn’t be bothered to send it back. Great amps but slightly stupid location of rubber feet !
  12. You can’t do better than that for the money .. it would make a great gig and lightweight
  13. If you start looking for an alternative the Boss WL20L is a possible good unit. Works with active basses
  14. I would head over to Ashdown and get one of the RM500 heads in their B stock and seek out a decent light 210 cab to go with it .. nice rig
  15. I think quality bands in park venues and better functions should be looking at around £1000 per gig With how much everything has increased the last few years that’s not unreasonable. Pub bands however I think due to the availability of many bands and less venues in pubs you’re lucky to get £400 sometimes less as many solo, duos etc will perform for £150 ! Venues are struggling though and each year there are less and less
  16. That’s interesting about preferring Orange over the V4B I tried the Terror bass and found it too dark sounding and sent it back. It does have an odd EQ if I recall. If it wasn’t for the weight the V4B rig is still one of the best around.
  17. I think if I’m close to my amp I should be ok !!
  18. Well .. after using / gigging the Shure GLXD16+ and then selling up my gear as I was leaving gigging ( later to return after gear had gone ) I tried the NUX 5.8GHZ model and it’s very good but I just don’t like those hinged bug types I’ve decided so … Back to the trusty old Boss WL20 system which I know it’s 2.4ghz but in my opinion looks nicer, sounds good, longer battery life and good enough to stop using a lead and the tangles I get even when I’m 6ft away from my rig !! Im confident it won’t suffer if I’m always close to the amp receiver and the benefit is I can move about if I need to but the twisted lead issue will not trip me up etc etc !
  19. Great rig and an interesting shift away from Ampeg I liked my SVT212AV and V4-B rig a lot
  20. Another very lovely discovery last night was when using the EICH T900 and the Monaco, playing my PBass with a pick I had the best sound I’ve ever had. Great rock tone and put my Ampeg gear to shame. First time I thought hell yeah that’s the sound I want !!
  21. Tried the Monaco tonight with the band at rehearsal and with my EICH T900 amp ( new arrival too ) it was as loud and perhaps louder than my two Ampeg SVT112AV cabs. It’s a single 8 ohm cab so I’m only getting 600w out of the T900 but I was running with master volume around 11 o clock so plenty of power to go if required. Very tempted to add a second Monaco just to have the ultimate large - small venue rig ! Monaco was loud, clear and full sounding.
  22. Do you stack your cabs ? The Monaco on its own I think is loud enough but larger venues I think I may need PA support or a second Monaco The Monaco is as loud as my Ampeg 112AV cabs x 2 and clearer sounding. Pushes out a lot of bass in a small cab !
  23. And .. it’s now sitting on a Monaco cab and I’ve removed the large rubber feet as they are not needed as top handle is rebated into cab ( nice touch )
  24. Thanks … I will report how my new set up works with the band soon 👍
  25. New amp arrived EICH T900 head and I quickly put it through its paces with my Ampeg SVT112AV cab ( Note I have a new LFsys Monaco arriving today which I will also review soon ) The T900 is a small light 900w bass head and I decided to purchase the Black Edition. First few minutes of testing I was starting to think it’s not for me and sounded too dark .. but soon I discovered the control called “ Taste” and this is where the magic happens ! You can go from clear, open and brighter sounding using the control turned anti clockwise or warm, darker, vintage sounding turning it clockwise to the “ rich” setting The EQ points work very well and the amp fans are super quiet Very nice build quality and the only thing I did was stick four larger rubber feet under it to raise it up to clear top mounted cab handles and better cab grip so it doesn’t slip off as it’s so light !! First impressions are it’s a lovely amp and will be put through its paces with the Monaco soon
