  1. Tried the Monaco tonight with the band at rehearsal and with my EICH T900 amp ( new arrival too ) it was as loud and perhaps louder than my two Ampeg SVT112AV cabs. It’s a single 8 ohm cab so I’m only getting 600w out of the T900 but I was running with master volume around 11 o clock so plenty of power to go if required. Very tempted to add a second Monaco just to have the ultimate large - small venue rig ! Monaco was loud, clear and full sounding.
  2. Do you stack your cabs ? The Monaco on its own I think is loud enough but larger venues I think I may need PA support or a second Monaco The Monaco is as loud as my Ampeg 112AV cabs x 2 and clearer sounding. Pushes out a lot of bass in a small cab !
  3. And .. it’s now sitting on a Monaco cab and I’ve removed the large rubber feet as they are not needed as top handle is rebated into cab ( nice touch )
  4. Thanks … I will report how my new set up works with the band soon 👍
  5. New amp arrived EICH T900 head and I quickly put it through its paces with my Ampeg SVT112AV cab ( Note I have a new LFsys Monaco arriving today which I will also review soon ) The T900 is a small light 900w bass head and I decided to purchase the Black Edition. First few minutes of testing I was starting to think it’s not for me and sounded too dark .. but soon I discovered the control called “ Taste” and this is where the magic happens ! You can go from clear, open and brighter sounding using the control turned anti clockwise or warm, darker, vintage sounding turning it clockwise to the “ rich” setting The EQ points work very well and the amp fans are super quiet Very nice build quality and the only thing I did was stick four larger rubber feet under it to raise it up to clear top mounted cab handles and better cab grip so it doesn’t slip off as it’s so light !! First impressions are it’s a lovely amp and will be put through its paces with the Monaco soon
  6. I really liked my RM800 Only criticism ( and I told Ashdown) was the tiny feet that are not even fitted to the corners ! It meant in some cabs with a top handle the feet were in the handle RM500 was different
  7. Thank you Phil ! I was very close to changing my mind on the Monaco but nope I’m going for it. It’s possible I will order a second Monaco to stack and give me 4ohms in the future but for now I will hit one cab a go. The Ampegs I run stacked and never push them even though we are a reasonably loud band for pubs and I don’t use PA support
  8. I would say the Ashdown RM800 would be a great amp to go for especially as they are selling off their B stock For that money they cannot be beat in my opinion Orange LBT is a nice alternative and sensible price too or MarkBass LM IV Also the EBS Reidmar 752 is a fantastic amp and often overlooked ( it’s also very loud ) At the high end you’ve got the amazing Trace Elliot TE1200
  9. Bandmix isn’t great because folk cannot message you unless they pay ! Works if you use an easy to find contact name on Facebook etc but apart from that it’s good but a shame you have to pay to make contact with musicians or bands
  10. It’s the EICH T900 amp I plan to use
  11. Selling my two like new Ampeg SVT112AV 8 ohm 300w RMS cabs Price is for both cabs which is less than half price if buying new Both have additional rubber feet on the end to enable vertical stacking or can be stacked width ways Both with covers Trying to downsize my gear so these need to go. Nice sounding cabs Collection from Needham Market Suffolk or meet up within sensible distance from home location
  12. Would you say the Monaco would outperform 2 x Ampeg SVT112AV cabs ? Im hoping it gets me there as a single cab in a 5 piece rock band playing large to small pubs without going through the PA
  13. Looking forward to get mine soon, Stevie has been very helpful. Im hoping just the one Monaco will be enough for my rock band playing pubs and clubs. The reviews sound very promising and exactly the tone I’m seeking
  14. Will consider sensible offers !
  15. Apologies my plans have changed regarding the ST This is in relation to a LFSYS Monaco cab
  16. I wouldn’t stick them on to existing either beside or replace them with taller feet I think
  17. Is that possible? I would have thought taller feet beside them or remove and fit taller feet ?
  18. Just out of interest why can’t you stick larger rubber feet on the bottom ?
  19. I have a rubber mat I can lay on top so I think that will help
  20. I’m trying to find out the clearance under the amp ( to clear a cab top handle )
  21. Ok folks .. I’ve sent my NUX unit back as I’m going to stick for now with cables. It’s a lovely little bit of kit but I think a little easy to break as all plastic and I’m on the fence about needing wireless at all for gigging. Amazon were excellent and free returns and full refund immediately
  22. Title and subject amended for clarity !!
