  1. I was told that the drive, EQ etc all effect the input signal and often you need to cut the input level if boosting drive of EQ This was from Dave Green himself and I think there are various ways to do it but keeping a healthy input signal without it being in the red too much is key
  2. PMT have one in stock for a decent price under your budget
  3. My new RM800 has a a few seconds before becoming active There are no tubes in the RM so I guess it’s by design or waiting for the fan to start perhaps hence why older units are taking longer ?
  4. I nearly purchased the ST cab but the manufacturing time and the cost at the time made me re-think. The LFsys Monaco came my way ( lovely cab ) and for larger stuff Vanderkley 212 cab ( very nice )
  5. I’ve added this “member” to the IGNORE list option on here !! Shame there isn’t a “ BLOCK” option 😂👍
  6. I’m following this with interest having been a regular recipient of this persons comments !!! 😂
  7. I’m glad others have noticed this !!!
  8. It’s swamp ash so I think that’s probably about right. I should be ok as my other Ray is 10lbs and I’m ok with that for several hours !
  9. Yep same one .. do you know the weight ? My Ray34 Flame Top Teal is just under 10lbs
  10. I’ve just got one of these coming my way .. I’m a Ray34 convert !
  11. A bit of both I guess, sometimes we play 2.5hrs but definitely more than 2hrs
  12. We play around 3hrs total for typical pub gigs .. 9-12 o’clock or 8-11am 5 mins break usually
  13. One of the benefits of these cabs ( I have the Monaco ) is the dispersion of sound and how well you can hear the cab even though it’s a smaller cab Very impressive cabs
  14. Any owners of the Ray34 advise which strings they are using ? The spec says EB Slinky 45-100 ? Would 45-105 or 50-105 be a good choice perhaps ? Unlike my older Ray34 with stock strings the G isn’t noticeably weak ! Only looking at Nickel Plated Rounds
  15. The main bass EQ on the Puma and Eich is 30hz which works very well
  16. EBS spec as below It’s a loud amp even into 8 ohms Character boosts lows, slight cut to mids and slight boost to treble
  17. I’m only selling mine as I have the Eich T900 and Ashdown RM800 EVO III Very versatile amp and can run down to 2ohms
  18. Nor does the EICH What about my EBS REIDMAR 752 which has the “ character” button that boosts low end ? Its for sale on here 😉 Or an Ashdown RM800 that has the “ Shape feature” bass boost plus mid cut
  19. My new bass arrived yesterday just in time for band rehearsal and I’m very impressed with tone and comfortable playing feel Went for the Ray34 to get more of a PBass neck and although the build quality is nice it’s not as nice as my Vintera II or American Performer I wasn’t prepared to pay EBMM prices so this will do nicely The 3 band EQ is perfect and running my EICH T900 flat I got some great tones for the rock band Wouldn’t normally buy a green bass but this Teal is very dark nearly black so I think it’s a nice colour
  20. Yes I purchased it late 2023 and it’s a great bass but I wanted to buy a Stingray and I also have the American Performer PBass so I decided the Vintera II would go to help fund the Stingray
  21. For the money I would head for the RM800 EVO II if Ashdown have any left or RM500 as they are great amps The ABM750 is nice but I didn’t find it any better than the ABM 600
