  1. I have a few of those Fender tweed black / white leads that I don’t use anymore.. !!
  2. In fact it’s so good I decided to keep it !!
  3. Actually I found the WL20 from Boss took some of the clarity away compared to a good quality cable The Shure GLXD16+ didn’t have any change to the sound I’m a cable hater as I’m always standing on them twisting them etc etc when playing I have tripped over my leads several times in the years of gigging
  4. Please note they are new with warranty for £499 at present for the V2 I’ve seen folk asking for £400 plus shipping which to me is too high Mint condition unit I would pay around £325.00 shipped as it’s secondhand but not more and I’m not saying I would but folk need to be realistic about selling I feel If it’s the V1 version it’s probably worth less as it’s an older design
  5. Did use one with guitars ( cheap plastic thing ) but bass never just by hand and it works fine. I think it teaches you better re-stringing if you take your time and do it by hand while watching the wraps on the tuning peg etc
  6. I may just keep them as they look a handsome pair stacked and nice sounding rig. Very convenient having the extra four feet fitted to the ends for tall stacking and preventing damage when sitting them down on their end ( opposite side to single handle )
  7. Ampeg SVT112AV cabs x 2 I think ? I liked mine a lot and still not sure they are in the for sale section at 1/2 the cost of new with zero interest??!!
  8. Like the Elf plus a lot more extras with the awesome dual band compressor Truly great amp
  9. I’ve heard that said before.. the Katana guitar amps are good too
  10. Had a slight posting issue it would appear !!! Sorry folks
  11. Having started this thread back in April I now own EICH T900 very nice ASHDOWN RM800 EVO II lovely EBS Reidmar 752 .. very versatile and lovely amp

  13. You could look at the ABM600 for sale on here The ABM600 EVO IV is the model to seek They have some demo units left at Ashdown if you check directly with them classed as B stock and will be virtually like new @ £575
  14. The ABM series are fantastic amps but I must say that you won’t get valve tones from amps with only a valve in the preamp ( from my experience) The RM series and other class D amps sound equally good in my opinion although the ABM600 does have some welly to its sound. Ive owned full valve amps CTM100, Ampeg V4B Ampeg SVT CL etc and they sound great but I don’t think today are really needed especially when you factor in the weight, difficulty selling on ( shipping ) and potential valve issues ( rare but possible)
  15. How does it sound with the Tecamp and RM800 ?
  16. Nope they are “ special impedance speakers” which were designed by their supplier to enable 3 x 10 equal 4ohms
  17. I love mine too, great bass
  18. Well I’ve decided to return the Boss WL20 ( nothing wrong with it ) but I couldn’t get on with the dongle style So I’ve exchanged it for a new Shure GLXD16+ and ordered a second cable with RH Jack from designacable ! I definitely shouldn’t of sold my Shure last year but hey we do these things don’t we guys 😂
  19. Or try the Dunlop Flex triangles as they are softer sounding I often just back off the tone pot on my bass if too “ raspy”
  20. I would imagine 8 years later he’s using something else !!
