  1. And in truth the drivers ( some better than others ) are under huge pressure to deliver a growing quantity of goods with heavy deadlines to achieve with very average to low wages. We have all had delivery issues but on the whole they do a pretty decent job mostly
  2. Yep DPD one of the best and that’s why most good shops use them. Timed collection or delivery notifications and they are very near to those times always Better to pay DPD rates in my opinion for valuable items
  3. Personally on a low to mid priced bass I would sell and move on Perhaps look at Yamaha or Sterling Sub as a similar priced bass and decent too. My personal fav is MIM Player Series PBass ( perfect bass for me )
  4. They are nice cabs the Pro Neo They sound better the more I use mine I net a couple of 15’s would also sound really good
  5. I always push the mute button in when switching off. Just tried mine and even without mute in its quiet switching off. I read your messages about the buttons and other issues .. I wonder if these were all “ B stock” models as mine from PMT has been perfect as you would expect from Ashdown and has also a very quiet fan.
  6. Yes the input gain is higher now in your second photo About the same as mine. Is it still quiet ?
  7. My RM800 EVO II head with output vol at 9 o clock is loud enough over a loud drummer and 4x 12 guitarist I use two 210 Pro Neo cabs Do you have your input gain very low ? Mine with a PBass is around 12 o clock Makes a huge difference to the volume of the amp
  8. I stack my 210 Pro Neo cabs and I can hear really well now I’ve got wireless and the EQ right Tethered via cable can make you stand close to the cab / cabs and virtually hear less compared to several feet away left / right or in front Our singer uses IEM but rest of band doesn’t
  9. Awaiting payment so on hold until confirmed as collected
  10. Ashdown Classic Series Klyston 115H 400W 8 ohm cab U.K. built large 1x15” plus horn bass cab Due to size and weight this is collection or near to Suffolk / Norfolk meet and pickup NOW SOLD
  11. Used my Line 6 G30 tonight and was very impressed For £129 new they are a bargain
  12. Ok folks .. had band rehearsal and I took all three cabs along, the second hand Klyston 115 and my new Pro Neo 210 cabs x 2 Verdict …. Pro Neo cabs sounded better for what I wanted in the band and were very punchy yet full. The Klyston cab is very nice and deep and will fill a room easily but not as punchy and it’s heavier to carry. The Klyston will be going up for sale on here real soon I think as the Pro Neos for their size certainly packs a punch But in fairness I paid nearly £800 for my two Neo cabs so I would hope they sound half decent which they do 👍

Decided to sell mine as it’s really good but not sure I need it.
  14. Thanks Phil If it’s enough on it’s own then that would be great. Yes it’s larger than the current compact ported cabs from Ashdown so may be all I need to gig with. This may make my Pro Neo 210 cabs redundant! This is the cab in question
  15. Thanks Phil If it’s enough on it’s own then that would be great. Yes it’s larger than the current compact ported cabs from Ashdown so may be all I need to gig with. This may make my Pro Neo 210 cabs redundant!
  16. Yes that’s true .. the matching impedance is the easy bit, matching it with a different Ashdown design ported cab is the first question as the current compact ported is firstly rated to 300w ( this can be upgraded to 400w) but would it be better choosing the 115 cab or 210 cab ? General opinion is same speaker cab again but what if that’s no longer made ?
  17. I’ve picked up a secondhand Ashdown Klyston 115 400w 8 ohm ported bass cab from a nice local guy. it’s the one with the tall cab and lower grille port and England flag logo so built in U.K. some years back. Not sure what speaker but perhaps Eminence ? Has a switchable horn .. Ok question what would I run with this as a second cab ? Naturally they don’t make them anymore If it works out I will be letting go my two near new Pro Neo 210H cabs that I purchased direct from Ashdown earlier this year. This old cab is heavy and larger but that isn’t a problem for me in transport or lifting terms What do you other Ashdown users think ? Also I want to stick to Ashdown as a brand 👍 Also it’s not a question of impedance as I’m aware of the ability to run two 8ohm cabs
  18. We probably all know it but how many ignore it when tweeking our amp playing live because it doesn’t appear to sound right. Same applies to volume on stage and the battles that happen. I guess we have all been guilty of expecting that tone we have in our heads to sound great at home, in the studio or live performance. All very different tones needed to work for the occasion. I for one was doubting my cabs and believing they should sound deeper when standing close by or maybe 10ft away yet further away they sound very full and deep. The wonders of sound waves !
  19. I’m looking at the Line6 G30 and for £129 @ PMT it’s a bargain Would use a Levy’s pouch with mine too They have issues if heavy handed but they do seem to be favoured by many gigging players
  20. Ashdown RM series or Orange Little Bass Thing both superb
  21. After a very helpful chat with Ashdown I’ve learnt something that all bass players should know. The tone sitting / standing in front of your amp / cab doesn’t sound the same 15-20 ft away. The bass sounds fuller and deeper as you move away from the cab which setting up for band use is important as setting it too bass heavy near to amp may initially sound great close up but further away it’s all flub ! Im going over to wireless completely to benefit from this and hear the sound “ correctly” out front Line 6 G30 incoming plus Levy’s belt / strap pouch 👍
  22. Orange Little Bass Thing 👍 Or Ashdown RM500 / RM800
