So messing around a bit, i am going to confidently say one of the three options, to me, sounds better. The options being pre-comp, post-comp and no comp. My playing is too sloppy to post, but let me try again.

Im setting up this test in my kitchen right now. If i can get a good tone and something not too embarassing playing wise, i will post clips
-
All im gonna say is the pf20t has all tube DI and you can run it without load...

After trimming some of the rubber, i was able to use it. Not ideal, but it doesnt seem to be putting pressure on the power cable and it sits flush with that corner removed.

That is interesting! I was thinking more of my C4 which i suppose is a synth pedal, but i use it for envelope as well. I do get great response, but i suppose the fact that it is digital would make a difference? My old DOD FX25 absolutely responds to playing dynamics... I'll have to pull it off the board and do some testing before and after comp.

I would never think to put compressor after envelope. Why would you want to tame those peaks and valleys? Give the envelope a nice even tone from the comp, no?

Final answer.... Added the korg pitchblack x mini. Done. There is nothing this board cant do! Compact yet powerful! So pleased.

Final piece of the puzzle just arrive in the post It's so small...

So i finally took a deep dive and decided to sort out all my issues. I emailed disaster area and he explained to me what i was doing wrong. I figured out different device modes and how the preset mode can be set to change patches without turning on the C4. I also finally figured iut how to control both the C4 and the plethora using the dmc micro. I can now set scenes and isntantly call up boards on the plethora and patches on the C4 simultaneously and have them engaged or disengaged. Very pleased with that. I knew it could be done, just a matter of finding out how. This is my first step into using midi to control my boards. It was much easier to setup than i imagined. Next up is deep dive into C4 patch editor. I finally soent some time going through it and it seems to make sense. At least the top half of the screen. The bottom half controls are a bit mysterious still!

Load up some spectrum envelope patches onto the C4. There are some excellent ones.

In all seriousness, i am a big fan of the stomp. I think it's a great device. I'm not the type to dig deep into multi effects, but at a surface level I'm very impressed with it. The stomp would replace a lot of what you have or at least make it redundant. If you want to augment what yoi currently have, what about a plethora X3? It will give you all the delays and modulation you're missing in a tidy package for a good value. Get an HPF/LPF combo pedal, stick it under the board and boom. You wouldn't be able to insert it wherever you wanted though Too much?

Well, it seems we're at an impasse...

What do you do with the marijuana in the tins? 🥦

I've got a flat arse. That thing would be on the floor before the first note.

Does a kit count as doing it by yourself? If so, im about to try my first one.

i have never found a gigbag that i can wear on my back and not have to duck. It's absolutely a pain. I suppose the BC Rich gigbag i have hangs very low but it is massive. I have a steinberger in a gigbag, but that slings over your shoulder.

I'm strictly a 4 string player. I've owned quite a few but neber really got in with a 5. I'd say 5ers started getting big in mid 80s. In the 90s everyone was using them. Nowadays I'm seeing mostly 4s. Heres me in early 90s playing my MM 5er. This would have been like 92-93. Dont have the hair nor the bass anymore.

@ordep recently posted his board with a becos mini

I've posted it before. Korg tuner should be here on Monday. You can see exactly where it will go, although i might swap the placement of the dmc and the freeze. Never had sideways pedals before, i dont love them but it really works in this config
-
Ya, it is a glaring con, but the only one.i really love it and think TC hit a home run. And the tuner!
-
I just ordered a korg pitchblack x mini tuner as well because the plethora tuner isnt great. And it will also be going on my board sideways! I do have a perfect slot for it, but yeah, sideways.... To me, the plethora big selling point is no OD. I like my own analog drives in front of it. This board is close to my compact but i have the x3 instead of x5 and outboard compressor and C4
