When i had a bass handbuilt, i chose all very high end hardware and i went with yhe gotoh high mass bridge. I like it a lot. Easy to change strings, looks good and is a great option. Is this the one youre talking about?

Done!

I just saw that pic on instagram!
-
Ya, i put in a case. Will see what they say.
-
Yeah, i should grt the rest of that old finish out! Lazy workmanship!
-
Its a ultra bitza! Warmoth slab 72 body (with belly cut), moses graphite neck, original 2Tek and bartolinis.
-
Why does only this set say not for neck thru bodies i wonder...
-
Love... I had the same bass in trans orange but with the piezo. None better.
-
Also, would you consider this a string through bass? I suppose so...

I bought these labella flats and they say specifically: Note: Not suitable for neck through basses https://www.thomann.de/ie/la_bella_760fm_flatwound.htm Every other set says : https://www.thomann.de/ie/la_bella_760fs_b_dtbass_flats.htm Not suitable for string-through body basses or Note: Not suitable for basses with string-through body. Does that mean the first set is suitable for string through or is it not suitable for neck thru or string through? Is it because they are medium tension? Also, would medium tension be more or less tension than standard tension? I see light, medium and heavy tension, but also standard tension.

Small update. Tomorrow is three weeks curing time finished. I'm hoping to polish and start assembly this weekend! One thing i changed is i went and bought actual fender strap knobs. I initially bought harley benton ones and im not sure why. Just being cheap i suppose. The HB ones arent great. Very cheap feeling and small screws so i went ahead and bought genuine fender ones. Much nicer. I even got a little bag of felt rings to put under the strap holders

If you want a bauhaus inspired instrument, brute is your brand https://instagram.com/brute_bass_guitars?igshid=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ== -
If it's not right, someone will let you know! You wouldnt just get a cheap harley benton supply and not worry about that?
-
I dont think so as far as i understand it! This thing is basically an extension lead just eith the second bit. Apparently if you leave one unplugged you should tape it up with electrical tape

Something like this? https://www.amazon.co.uk/GELRHONR-Guitar-Effect-Splitter-Angle-1-8Ft/dp/B09MJ7T1RJ/ref=mp_s_a_1_15?crid=1J8NDYJIU8DFO&keywords=effect+power+cable&qid=1683631507&sprefix=effect+power+cable%2Caps%2C125&sr=8-15

Paying for a seat is different than carry on. That will work. Carry on, to me, means putting in the overhead bins. Still, as mentioned if there is a sold out flight with people on standby, they will take your seat and store your bag.
-
There's zero chance you will be able to carry that on. Even if you bought an extra seat for it, they would put it in the hold on a sold out flight with people standing by.

I dont think in the video it sounds very good. Its like the fingernoose of both hands is amplified. I do like the idea, the minimalism and the look is pretty cool -

These pop up on my Instagram all the time. I think they're super cool. I believe someone here got ine semi recently. I do think the price is too high, personally, but i love the concept. -
As you can see, its very big. I assume it was initally made for a BC Rich Beast bass with the forked headstock I measure it at 140cm at it's longest and 50cm right across the bottom where it is widest. I used it to carry my gibson thunderbird and the top would be floppy. Here is a pic of a standard scale bass with an inline headstock and there is plenty of space at the top
-
So as mentioned there is a BC Rich gigbag out there that will fit a flying V. This is an 8 string with an extra long headstock and it fits perfectly. There isnt any label on it to tell who made it. The second pic is the bag zipped with the V inside.
-
I know many people who have them and love them. Personally i find them a bit light. I'm also not crazy about a jazz with no pickguard. But they are definitely well regarded.
-
I have an 8 string flying V. It fits into my BC Rich gigbag. I think since its an 8 string the head might peep out a bit? I dont remember. I'll pull it out tomorrow and check for you and take pics if youre interested. I can see if there is a manufacturer label, but it does say BC Rich on the side.
