    The bushings for the schallers i bought were slightly too small. I know i could have used a shim to make them fit, but i went ahead and bought some fender ones so i wouldnt have to faff around. Seem to fit much better. Not a huge update, but an update nonetheless so it goes in the diary. I figure any updates are good for future reference if people are searching Assembly is imminent!

    i'm seeimg tjis exact same thing with my alder body i am currently finishing. it's very minimal and i was able to pretty much cover it up with nitro layers, but if is bothering you, you should grain fill it. that will guarantee no grain showing,

    lots to go through here. a lot of surprises whereby some of my favourite lines have terrible tone on their own (to me obviously) i don't like rio or tom sawyer at all. i think standouts of what i've listened to so far for me are smashing pumpkins (cherub rock) and the police (every little thing she does is magic) but there's so much to choose from (If you click on the lines icon you'll see the list)

    Unfortunately it's got a US power supply as i bpught it when i lived in SF years ago. I can use it with a transformer. I still have the Goliath 4x10 but got rid of the Big Ben years ago

    Ah, i have a few. My handmade tone monster! All made from planks of wood. Just recently dropped the mudbucker in. This is the most amazing sounding bass buy it weighs a ton. Ive been rocking it as my main for the last few weeks. And then my forever main. A 98 MIA jazz that i heavily modified.     I had considered loke a deep black grain filler under a stain, but ireally enjoyed the painting process. I'm trying to convince the wife if i bought a spray gun, i could paint the hallway!

    i actually was considerimg that. my wife wants me to paint the shed door and i'm honestly thinking about doing it all in nitro lacquer with a clear coat!

    i have an 8 string flying V in matte black. i was also considering that for paint i have the painting bug now. so enjoyable and the results are amazing. i'm eben considering building a guitar for something different to paint, but that would just sit in a closet.

    yeah, black on black on black would be awesome, but i just did a black bass... still, it's classic for a reason.

    this is a warmoth bass i put together with a moses graphite neck and an original 2Tek bridge. i really love it and think it looks very cool. sounds great, plays great. but i just finished painting a bass and i enjoyed the process so much i want to do it again. what do you think? Yellow with matching headstock? Candy apple red? or just leave it? Maybe get a fancy new pickguard?

    Now it's flat with some slight orange peeling. I will wetsand with progressively finer sandpaper and then polish and i should see a mirror shine.

    Spraying done! Zero runs in my clear coats. Very pleased with the results so far. Definitely a few imperfections, but i will see how it looks after wet sanding and polishing in a few weeks. I dont really have a proper setup so im happy so far.
