No worries.
I wouldn't rest it in a case for extended periods of time until it cured a bit more if it were me as nitro stays soft for a while and the fabirc in a case could cause an impression in the paint. Should be fine hanging though, just allowing it to air out while still being able to use it.
I can't imagine i will wait the full three weeks to polish, i'm going to try, but more likely will be 2.
How long did you wait between final spray and polish?
Im finishing spray tomorrow and everything im reading says wait at least three weeks.
Thats going to be hard!
Edit: i just sqw you didnt paint it yourself. Looks like they dont wait but a few days. Is it poly or nitro?
I had enough colour to sand back and repair.
Back on track and looking good!
Should have all spraying done tomorrrow, then had to sit for a month to cure before polish.
Gah! Got the colour all sprayed, it looks very good, but in the first coat of clear i bumped it off a tack cloth and now i have a big smudge.
Im also mostly out of colour so i have to really try and get it out without messing up the colour.
I think it's more down to the demographics of this place.
Also, pub cover bands would tend to be older people and thats what most bands on BC would be i think.
I play in an originals band and we are definitely oldies in the scene. Youngins thriving on the original scene here.
First coat on. Sanding sealer.
I'm going with the reranch rule if threes.
spray three passes to make a coat, allow each coat to dry at least three hours and spray no more than three coats a day for at least three day
I think 3 coats of sanding sealer will be enough. Then i will move on to primer tomorrow. Probably 3 coats there depending on coverage.
Then colour, as many coats as i can get from two cans.
Then clear. Same as colour.
Im excited!
Back when i was living here, even HMV on oxford street had a nice instrument section downstairs.
I believe guitarguitar said theyre londons biggest showroom and even they didnt have that many.
Personally, I love all the versions on SRTS. Ive listened to it so many times i can do the entire album in my head.
But it must be torture for bands to have to play the same songs for years on end. I get bored playing the same stuff and we only play out a handful of times.
I was watching a few of Depeche Mode's encores on this recent tour. Same three songs, performed the same way they have been playing them for 40 years.
It cant be fun. At that point it's just a job. Very well paying, but still a grind I'd think.
They did sound very good though.
Popped into guitarguitar today. A few nice basses, not all fender which was nice. Didnt pull anything down.
I qas staring at that Sunn O))) lifepedal, but in the end left empty handed. I was right next to the gallery, but didnt bother.
I was also roght next to denmark street, but didnt want to drag thr family over and i know it's not great anymore.
We've been using pirate for the last few months.
I think its great. Good gear, easy access, if you leave stuff behind they put it away for you.
But the bathrooms are so manky, the girl in our band put her foot down and made us find another place.
