Any idea why my 4control wont go into interface mode? I read the manual and think I'm doing everything correctly Edit: do i need a midi interface in between the 4control and my computer? I thought the 4control was the interface Is it not FI->4control->PC to update patches? bah! i need another interface to edit and add patches. need to get a roland cable it looks like. what a hassle!

Let me get my patches worked out and I'll see what i can do.

Did i see someone on here had taller pedal toppers? Im having a hard time hitting some of the buttons on the top row with my size 14s. I put the small toppers on some, but a bit more height would do.

Sanded, painted and primed. I think they came out great. I am gonna do a clear coat over them i think -
The cookn fella has some nice patches that are effects like that.

I emailed him. Wsiting to hear back. I figure with a future compact and some right angle midi cables i can get one more pedal on the board.

Finally after months of researching, collecting, and planning i finally wired up my board and i couldnt be happier. Thanks everyone for all the tips and ideas. I've always been big into effects, but never had put them all on a pedalboard like this. Also, everything fits neatly into it's case with the pocket on top holding the two expression pedals. Chain is: Polytune 3-> lusithand compresor-> switchblade pro Loop a : pigtronix mothership 2 -> mxr bass octave deluxe -> boss PS2 (for octave up) -> moose electronics custom dual channel od/dist ( the sunhammer)->ripply fall Loop b: dod fx25->future impact-> boss dd3 Midibeam 4connect underneath to run the expression pedal for the FI and the two button footswitch there in the middle. I have a countryman DI strapped underneath as well. Expression pedals for future impact and pigtronix. Everything outputs into a boss RC-20 Thanks to the BC members who sold me kit for this and a special thanks to whoever it is that used the embossed labeller for the power supply. I think thats a great idea.

Cheers, yeah, i mesnt yoursand other users patches in the cloud. I remember you did say they were accessible in the editor. I have them DLed and backed up, but you did mention i didnt need that. Yeah, for now i just want to concentrate on managing user patches. Finding ones i like and putting them in a wrokable order. Im sure i can figure that much out. Editing patches is for another day.

Funny you mention that! I went through all the patches last night and there were very few that utilised the pedal. A few though. I remembered you recently mentioned a patch you made, number 87 i think, that used the exp so i dialled that in and it was awesome. Likely this evening, i will go through, pick out any patches im not mad about, and replace them with user patches that utilise exp. Or i like the sound of. I havent plugged in the editor yet. Its easy enough to get one's head around?

Hooked up the midibeam 4connect to my FI ladt night and it is an absolute game changer. Adding the down program button and footpedal makes it a whole new pedal, but the sdded freeze/hold is amazing in conjuction with an A/B/Y box I kniw there are more featured midi controllers, but this mididbeam is exactly what i was looking for.

Steinberger did this 30 years ago with a knob so it really was instant fretless
-
It's funny. I had a three cable one in my basket, but deleted it and got a 2 cable one for both those reasons
-
Really? Before comp? Surely it should be last in your chain right before amp? I did fit all three pedals on after all. But i will need to daisy chain two of them as i ran out of spots on my power supply
-
I have 9 slots on my power supply and 11 pedlas on my board
-
Ah, sorry! I read that wrong. I rhought you were bemoaning my taste! These three pedals i am choosing from are pedals i already own. Although i think i figured iut a way to out all three on if i move off the expression pedal
-
I saw those. Interesting idea. Do you have one? Hiw do you use it?
-
And what do those volumes say, friendo? I've got two.
-
I think that yes, if i get that cable above and use a normal lead for a power supply it should work. Sorry for the obvious question. I like to tick all boxes before i make a change!

I'm looking to power two pedals off of my polytune. It has an output to power pedals. What cable do i need? Im thinking i need two cables? A regular power supply cable into the female end of a daisy chain cable? Is that right? I can find any daisy chain cables males at all ends. So using something like this to power the extra pedals, I'd still need a male to male from the power output of the polytune to run this? https://www.thomann.de/ie/the_sssnake_dc3_cable.htm

I might need to get ine of those zooms just to bring around. I used to have their old fx-b i think. The black and green one with the foot pedal

I can't possibly sneak another pedal into the house!
-
So i have all my basics covered, dist, synth, comp, oct, chorus, etc, and i can fit one more pedal. I dont really want to get a bigger board, as to me it's pretty much at the limit of what i can present to the band without getting mocked! Also, i dont have the space on my power supply for another. Do i go with my all time favourite the DOD fx25? I have a future impact and a pigtronix mothership 2, id say i could probably get a close envelooe out of the FI. Do i go with the Boss PS-2? A good delay and also gives me ocatve up with the free form control and an alright down ocatve (got down already covered with an mxr BOD) Or the classic boss DD-3? A killer digital delay that i think sounds a bit better than the PS-2 delay wise. I have a line 6 DL4, but it's too big. I cant decide!

Ive got an original one that ive been looking to get repaired for ages, but cant find anyone to do the repair
