I dont think I can justify a whole switching solution, but that would be able to do this I'd guess.

Bass->compressor->A/B/Y pedal A->effects chain -> blend pedal B -> Blend pedal. The idea being able to always blend a clean tone into a dirty signal. I assume this is a thing? Is this what people are using DI pedals for? I stepped away from buying gear for a few years and now everyone is crazy for DIs and preamps on their boards. This seems like a perfect solution. Is this something obvious that everyone is doing? Are there any drawbacks?

I cannot tell you how many builders ive looked st for this neck! I even started a thread in the lefties forum if anyone wanted to swap a neck! I think ive narrowed neck down to three options. Last option is to just buy a fender player precision left handed neck. I dont really want a MiM neck and there is no guarantee it dits bass body from GB. Lol, sorry to hijack your thread. This has been driving me crazy and i know no one else who has used a guitarbuild body!

Interesting that the neck is too big! Was this a stock guitarbuild body? Did you specify neck pocket size? I found a perfect allparts neck, but im worried about the gap Interesting about the reissue size!

I just bought one of these! I hope its cool as im gonna modify a bass to ustilise it.

So ive been looking ito this. Im VERY interested to see how the body and neck fit. That guitarbuild body is good? Im so close to ordering one. Ive also been eyeing an AllParts neck to go with it, BUT i noticed that allparts necks are 2 7/16 and the quitarbuild bodies neck pockets are 2.5 Had you considered this when ordering? Does guitarbuild offer a neck pocket in that size?

I'm keeping my steinberger XP for when I'm too old to carry a j bass. Im so tempted too sell it but it's so light.

Get a Hofner. It's like playing nothing at all. I had to get rid of mine because it was so light and delicate i thought i'd crush it with my playing.
