  1. That was really good, and worthy of a follow all by itself. I've listened to the rest of the album, and it's now on my list to get on the next Bandcamp Friday. Mark

  4. I had never heard this, so I just did a search and I'm quite happy to never hear it again. 😂 Mark
  5. Ha! I've had the same idea for one of my 5-string builds, only I'll be using the J-type pickups Reverend uses in it's basses. Nice work. Mark

  7. I missed this thread when originally posted. I follow you on Bandcamp and got no notification of this, so I just checked there, and it's not listed hahaha, I guess that explains that. I liked that, and looking forward to your album next year too. Mark
  8. 😳 Mark
  9. Betteridge's law of headlines, applied to forum thread titles … Mark
  10. I searched for 5-string basses, because that's what I play. 20 results, and of those 20, 2 were for strings, 1 was a case, 1 was a 6-string and 1 was a 4-string. Of the remaining ones there was a very nice example of a Spector Euro 5 LX, including case for £2k. Mark

  13. Bloody hell, £3k! That one has 18v electrics, any idea why this would be? The Trace Elliot one I have and other Status ones I've seen only have the single 9v batteries. Mark
  14. Headbangers Ball. That's a bit of a blast from the past. Presented by someone called Vanessa, if I recall correctly. Also Ray Cokes. He was great doing that Most Wanted segment. I have fond memories of watching MTV when it was actually a music channel. I started to watch that Real World show they started and at that point I started to drift away from the channel. You could see where it was heading. Mark
  15. I'm still very happy with the purchase. A 'unicorn bass' is exactly how I described it too. The pre-amp took a little bit of time to tame, but I am really happy with the bass. As others have stated, they can be a bit on the weighty side, but I've mostly been playing mine sat down, so that's been a non-issue for me and mine. Mark
  16. Oohh, this is a good one. I'll add, any alphabetical listing by last name first, first name last. Mark
  17. Groovy. Mark
  18. As soon as I read the comment by @Hellzero I knew who this thread was about. She's quite an impressive player. Mark

  20. Also DIY neck roasting! 😂 It's a Fb Reel, if I knew how to embed it I would, but I don't, so I can't. Mark
  21. Fanned fretless? Mark
  22. Betteridge's law of headlines applied to forum threads … Is this the end for the boutique bass? "No" Mark
  23. Why would you have turnip with spuds?!? Honestly, to me, that just sounds mingin'. Mark
