1. waiting for pix
2. Damn! That's terrible, I so wanted that bass and I've just sold a kidney for it. Thank goodness it wasn't mine.
3.
No problem, it should be gone by tomorrow evening (one way or another). Nothing wrong with long-scale but plenty wrong with my technique!
Bummer! If I could sell my current bass instantly to raise some more cash I'd have it. Timing can be a cruel thing in the world of GAS.
4. Part of me wants this to get snapped up pronto and put me out of my misery, and part of me really wants it! What's wrong with longer scale??
5. Amazing looking bass. I sure would love that, and I'd probably go for it if most of my GAS money wasn't set for a drum kit. My playing is so unworthy it would almost be a crime for me to own it! Where in the country are you out of interest?
6. I'm glad to hear that a QueenBoy isn't just one up from a LadyBoy. Risque choice of handle there! I loved Queen for many years, right up to the point where they started using synths. They were less of a 'rock' band and more of a general music band as far as I was concerned by then. I have to admit that JD never inspired me personally at all with the notion of playing bass, but they sure threw out a ton of classic songs!
7. Liquid tension experiment - Biaxident. The most uplifting piece ever for me. Fluid melodic interweaving lines from Petrucci and Rudess on guitar and keyboards respectively, Tony levin holding it down on the bass front with a fretless and Portnoy covering the drums. Superb melody line and it builds to a great crescendo finish. Awesome instrumental track, I must go and give it a spin ....
8. Hmmmn, I think that there's something strange about a secondhand foot spa - the thought of someone else's smelly old feet lounging around in there! Which reminds me - I once saw a secondhand vibrator in a junk shop - Honestly, who's gonna buy that!!!
9. Nice lookin bass there. I didn't think that Vigier was my sort of thing but I like the look af that one.
10. It amazes me that people try to sell instruments with such crap pictures - unless they are hiding something of course!
11.
the Squier is up to the mark... the only drawback with it is that it has the Squier Logo... some people can't get past that fact...
That's me - I just really don't like the idea of a squier branded guitar of any sort, although I guess that if I found a cheap one with an action to die for I'd get it.
12. I guess he'd have to be a pretty fat teacher to not fit in your car?!?!
13.
i dont want to risk sliding on the slippery slope !!
The slappery slope??
14. Totally awesome looking bass. Too bad I can't afford it!
15. Wooahhh! That bass looks great! I've never seen a Tobias in that sort of colour before.
16. I'm sure it's a great bass, but I just couldn't play a pink one! I think that the hairs on my chest would retract.
17. Wahooo! can't believe it, I actually met and talked to Billy Sheehan!!!!! Gasp. Even have photo evidence. Also I watched Stu hamm playing on a stand from about 3 feet away. Awesome! Anyone know who the old guy with long fair hair doing crowd pulling slapping around the place?
18.
Fair enough reason i guess! Don't worry bout your English, most of the people on here can't spell for toffee anyway!
I think you'll find that a quirky english phrase like that is far more confusing to a foreigner than the odd misspelling! Boy do we have some weird sayings over here.
19. I was sooooooooooooooo tempted by that bass. I've had the pix on my screensaver since you posted them. A beauty!
20.
.......... not to mention we play music that not many people like to play. christian. god music but to slow for everyone. well ehhh thats my issue
Heh, that's what I want to play - bass or guitar in a Christian Worship band. Wrong continent unfortunately. Interesting thread on the pitfalls of playing with other people. As someone who never has, it sure sounds like a lot of aggro. Someone commented on the hassle of 9 hours rehearsal a week - sounds brilliant to me!
21. I think that if you seriously want to flog a bass you should at least try and provide a picture of the actual instrument in question!
22.
Now the infuence of the meths has worn off, I've decided to keep it. Thanks John
That's strange ................. I'm still pumping the fumes through your letterbox???
23.
Heh, 56 of the buggers now.
There are different reasons for watching. Sometimes I watch am item if I'm considering selling something similar, sometimes I'm just curious as to what an item will fetch, occasionally I'm going to bid later but forget cos I don't visit eBay for days! And if I do bid on an item, I leave it until the last 5 minutes of an auction, otherwise you could just be inflating the price getting into a bidding war. My philosophy is don't give people time to think about whether they want to go higher than their original maximum! Aria Pro II - I knew a guy who was a hot bass player and he absolutely loved his APII, and I have a really old guitar APII which I would never part with. They are very good instruments.
24. Mmmmmmm ...................... dat sound purdy! Where abouts on the country are you?
25. Hmmmn ...... cracking looking bass there. I really want a 5 though, not sure I can handle a 6 - especially with the expectation of talent that would be associated!
