1.
.... I think my situation is different though, because I earn a loving from playing.
You're a jazz prostitute????
2. Personally I think that's a great idea. Chalk one up to integrity.
3.
It never ceases to amaze me what a fickly bunch we are Since listing this last night there's been quite a few people looking but no comments or enquiries. Meanwhile a Sadowsky that I haven't even put up for sale yet has generated three PM's about it. As an owner of both Sadowsky and Performance Guitar basses I'm happy to say that I think this P bass is easily the match of both of the US Sadowskys I've owned in terms of build quality and core tone.
I can't say I agree with that! A well known brand will always generate more interest that a lesser known brand, won't it. I often look at interesting expensive basses as they invariably look tasty, but funds are usually waaaaaaay to low to be seriously interested. Great looking bass! I only do 5 strings though
4. For me personally, guitar GAS is greater than bass GAS. I also think that Guitarists GAS more than bassists on the whole. I've known bassists happy with the same bass forever, but guitarists always seem to be buying and selling guitars, amps, effects.
5. I'd love one of them, and it's the best price I've ever seen! Too bad I have neither money or space right now.
6. I just looked at your selling web page - looks superb! That's the best ad I've ever seen for selling a bass.
7. If I win 2K+ on my Premium bonds today I'll take it! Don't hold your breath though ....
8. I love old guitar mags, but I have to admit that I am always put off buying from distance as most of the expense goes on P&P. If I lived nearer I'd be tempted to come over and buy a load.
9. I usually hate single cuts, but that looks rather exciting!
10. Sounds amazing! I wish I'd been there.
11. What a great player and all round good guy!
12.
I like the idea of "the church" going "Look man that P bass isn't the sound we're looking for."
Ho ho! I like that. I have to admit that at my Church everyone owns their own instruments.
13. The blurb says that it is bus powered, so why does it need a power supply? (am I just being thick here?)
14.
Showman or Plonker ...... what's wrong with being both. As long as the audience are entertained!
I like that! Thumbs up from me for people who make the effort as they are supposed to be 'entertainers'.
15. I Like the look of that very much! no spare cash unfortunately though
16. Definitely something 'perfect' about that album. I love the quality of the engineering and production, and the songs are so good.
17. I tried a 4 and loved it absolutely. As I only play 5's I didn't consider it. Too bad I don't have the money for this, I'm sure it's a sweeeeeet bass.
18. drums!?!?!?! that sounds ........ a bit weird! Keyboards for me. Easiest to scribble notes on paper at the same time.
19. I can't see the physics of that??? Surely other factors would be more of an issue: Neck wood, quality of neck wood, tuners, nut, neck join, neck/fretboard join. I'd have thought that they would all make more of a difference? Not that I have a clue about these things!
20. No love for Purple rain? For me that album gets 10 out of 10 .... the songs ... the production ... the big guitar presence .... totally excellent. I have a bunch of Prince albums on vinyl that I haven't played for about 20 years, Purple Rain is the only one I bothered to pick up on CD to still listen to.
21.
It makes me want to move to Norway & burn down a church.
Busman's holiday from english owned Welsh cottages?
22. 'Sadowsky' sounds like a hard drinking, hard smokin 70s LA cop 'Dingwall' sounds like the fat middle-aged guy from accounts Sadowsky for the win
23. I'm more of a guitarist than a bassist, I gave it some serious though and ultimately thought yes, Basses for the win - FOR ONE PARTICULAR REASON. I see a lot of top end basses made from beautiful pieces of wood, and they look like a total work of art, like a piece of sculpture. I don't ever seem to get that vibe from any guitars.
24. I love that Gospel type stuff, it's my favourite type of music to play along to. Fav artist: Israel Houghton. also like Ron Kenoly (Abe laboriel plays bass for him).
25. Oh, I dunno. 8-10 years maybe. I don't gig so maybe that makes a difference, but to be honest I can live with old strings for the most part. If you get your bass out every day for a bit they are fine, but if you go a few weeks without playing they feel a bit naff until played in again.
