I recently bought this Rivoli and it's lovely. I've disconnected the circuit that's operated by the button as I didn't like the sound. I've checked the dc resistance of the pick up and I'm amazed to discover that it's only 1.5kohms. How on earth does it deliver such a sound from a pick up coil that has such a small resistance? The mudbuckers are normally about 28kohm and I think Fender Jazz about 7.5kohms. Is it to do with the strength of the magnet? I know that the magnetic field is measured in inductance which depends on the number of windings on the pu (dc resistance) and the strength of the magnet. Has anyone any information? Cheers Rob Harper
