Nice to see some positive comments. I made some a while ago and was accused of working for them 😂 I live 180 miles away so a bit of a commute. I've always had a fair deal with purchases and selling gear and on the odd occasion something went wrong it was dealt with immediately.

The Headway gets lots of good reviews, I've no problem with it no feedback, just has to be positioned properly.

Had my GR AT cube 800 and AT cube 112 for three months now, got to be the best out there, sound engineer at last festival gig couldn't believe the weight and quality of the sound. Expensive, yes, but you won't need anything else.

Recently purchased GR AT800 cube combo and then the AT 112 cube. Head and shoulders above anything tone and volume wise that I've had previously, (Ashdown Fender TC Electronics) and so easy to load unload. A and B'd with Markbass, massive difference, massive price difference too but we'll worth it for me. 1 GR AT800 cube + AT 112 2 TC electronics RH750 + RS210 3 Ashdown 600 + ABM 610.

And if you read my previous post I said staff at Guitar Guitar and PMT, although I haven't dealt with them for a while, has always been good and pleasant to deal with. P ex offers have been crap. I prefer to do my business with BD, I like the choice of gear they have and they are very fair on p ex deals or they will sell for you on a 20% commission again I have had several good experiences with them selling on my behalf. Everyone is free to choose who they want to deal with. My thoughts are based on my experience with them. I now live 200 miles from them, so a 400 mile commute to work ain't going to happen. 😘

As you said we can only go on our own personal experience. I'm happy with what I get and have got over the last 10 years or so dealing with BD. We all have choices thankfully.

Where have I done that, if you mean I said getting a shite deal then those in my experience are facts. I found staff at PMT and Guitar Guitar great but I've always been offered a crap deal if trying to p ex anything. People on here have slagged off BD they are entitled to if that's how they felt, I'm doing the same, it's called free speech.

No I don't work for BD or have any affiliation to them but have bought and sold with them for many years and I've always been more than happy with the deals struck. Emails have always been answered quickly sometimes straight away, any problems I've had, and there have only been a couple, not down to BD themselves and they have been dealt with immediately. I think it's great to have a bass specific shop.

I've only had good experiences dealing with Bass Direct over the last 15 years or so. If you want a nice chat go to PMT or Guitar Guitar and get a shite deal, if you want a good deal go to Bass Direct.

I'm being serious, it seems obvious to keep their price below any competitors.

Regarding durability, I've had two TC electronic cabs damaged by two different couriers at different times. One was a complete right off, god knows how they had handled it, bad obviously. I wouldn't judge durability by how it's arrived via a courier. Like most things if you look after your gear it will be fine.

Looks like I'm in the minority but I like the new website. I've bought and sold with them over many years and not had many probldems, when there has been its been rectified quickly but i tend to use that old fangled thing they call a telephone. Its great having a bass specific store.
