Hi I've sent you a PM. Mark
You sure? Because I checked my messages and I didn't see anything -
I keep looking on a lot of websites but nothing really seems to stand out in particular...Any suggestions? If it helps, I was kinda hoping for a bass that like gives a good low growl >_>

The person who used the top bunk doesn't live with us anymore, so I may need to get a new bed EDIT: Also, I figure I may need to get another bass in the near future...a 5-string should suit my needs...I also wouldn't mind having a fretless...

Tips for writing bass lines?
Baseballfan1456 replied to Baseballfan1456's topic in General Discussion
Hey guys, sorry it took so long for me to reply, i've been busy and plus the whole time zone thing...Thanks a lot for the advice, it really helps a lot. Also, I play like rock music and that kind of thing so that might help with your advice... Btw guys, call me Jay, not Baseballfan >_> EDIT: Maybe I should've been more specific...i'm not exactly in a band, it's more like just me and my friend (he's a guitarist) and I don't really know any drummers that I can work with... -
Basically I ask this because all I play are songs from other bands, and I also wanna show some people that bass is better than they think it is... Plus, it'd be nice to come up with some cool material

I'm not really looking for a whole lot, I just wanted to find a relatively cheap 5-string for me to get... Btw, is that bass that you have as your picture a Stingray? -

Maid in Heaven - anyone got the bass tab?
Baseballfan1456 replied to vmaxblues's topic in General Discussion
Well, you could try ultimate-guitar.com, they usually have good tabs... -
I now have my very own bass!

I don't have a camera with me right now, so I can't take any pics, but I will very soon... Also, this is the amp i'm trying to save up for, but i'm open to other suggestions... Baseballfan1456 replied to Baseballfan1456's topic in General Discussion
The only thing that sucks though is that I have no amp...so the bass is really quiet...but like I said, the sound is pretty good -
I went into Guitar Center a couple days ago and I saw a black Fender P-Bass in the store on sale! I figured I wouldn't let the chance to get it pass me up so I bought it! The only problem was that it didn't come with a bag or anything...but oh well, I figure I can get it next time... Also, I really love the way my bass sounds when I play it :-D

Sorry about the dumb question, but can you actually be able to slap on one? Or would it be easier to use a Jazz Bass instead?
-
Hey guys, sorry about not replying faster, different time zones and all that stuff... To Musky: My favorite bassists would have to be Flea and Les Claypool, mainly due to the fact that I love their slap bass... To paul, the: Thanks for the advice and yes, I had a pretty good Independence Day... To The Burpster: Thanks a lot for showing me the link, although i'm not quite sure that i'll actually be able to drive to that store...However, there is a Guitar Center that is significantly closer...
