  1. Doesn't appear to have sold for some strange reaaon
  2. I know what you mean, I had the same effect on cameras, my fabulous body and good looks always seemed to make cameras malfunction and I also appeared as a nerdy overweight schoolboy with bad taste in tank tops and brown ties....
  3. I read about this as well, the Germans used it to help with Blitzkrieg and I think he had a platoons worth (approx 10 men) and took the lot by mistake and spent a week skiing non-stop as he was as you say "off his tits". I shouldn't laugh as this was serious, but I've had friends who've done this for a weekend at Wigan Pier in the last 70's. They were trashed at the end of the weekend, doing this for a week seems beyond comprehension. The people tracking him must have thought he was super human. I've never touched speed as 1) I never had the money when I was younger 2) As I've got older, my drug of choice is a rather nice bottle of Chateau Montrachet (which is probably significantly more expensive than speed is now) Rob
  4. Would you mind passing the details of this place on please? I sometimes need stuff done and I normally hit things with a big hammer until they look about right. Useful to know a local one who has more finesses. Rob
  5. Forgot the duct tape. Thanks for that.
  6. It turns out that a significant chunk of Basschat is held together by various tablets, potions and prescribed medicine. I do feel I'm getting my value out of the NHS after putting so much into it over the last few decades It also appears that many have had a somewhat 'exciting' past, which maybe that's why we are all "held together by various tablets, potions and prescribed medicine". Glad to see I'm not alone here. Thanks Rob
  7. Brought an iPad clamp and some straps. Good comms, well packaged, quick delivery. Zero issues. In the nicest possible way, a dull and boring transaction which is exactly how they should all be. Rob (who is not Ossyrocks)
  8. Thats how I run my board. However isn't there some changes coming up that's allowing the ToneX pedal to be just effects? I've paid no attention to recent news, Rob I know but it's still an interesting rabbit hole
  9. Very interesting project though....
  10. Damm.... Another !"£$%^&*()£$%^&*( rabbit hole and here's me with no will power
  11. Now that's interesting. Any links please?
  12. Especially one so damaged.
  13. Now that made me laugh....
  14. A perfectly reasonable suggestion.
  15. Have now read the eBay description (yes, yes, I know....). They have priced this based on the second hand price minus the cost of repair to the neck. I would have thought the second hand value of a good one was circa £450 to £550. So the cost of a repair is costed in as £100 to £200. Be interested in who can do that. Rob
  16. Ah! Didn't notice that at all, whoops. Then @tauzero is probably spot on with his £35 valuation. Rob
  17. Weren't these circa £750+ when they came out. They look great but I've never played one to try them out. If you know of one for £250 please let me know. Anyway, I agree that £350 is waaaaay too much for one with no neck even if the headstock is in lovely aesthetic condition (though unattached)
  18. I think the headstock is in a good aesthetic condition. It's not attached to the neck and I'm fairly certain the worlds best luthier might struggle to reattach it, but there's no marks on the headstock and it looks in excellent condition, apart from the fact it's no longer connected. I wonder if my Aria Pro neck would fit the body? I am actually designing a headless thunderbird myself for 3d printing and if this was a lot less, I'd look at buying but not for £350. Rob
  19. If you have a design, I can advise on what can be 3d printed and print them. However not everything designed can be easily 3d printed. Also the tops may need to be lightly sanded and spray painted. Rob
  20. I do like that... I'm very surprised I'm saying it but I do. This and @80Hz's basses will be the stars of the show. I might order some more aluminium foil and try and find my dads old high heeled boots (he was quite short). Rob
  21. We might theme the Bass Bash as the "North West and Scotland Bass Bash, Petting Zoo and Glam Rock Fest" now.
  22. Hell of a party... Best kept secret on Basschat 😉
  23. I've just brought 100 aluminium emergency foil blankets for first aid use. I will donate, nay happily donate with joy in my heart, a dozen for you to use in your new look
