1. It plays ands sounds better than it looks. I have had many jazz basses, customs- deluxe fenders- vintage fenders the lot and this is by far the best sounding playing one that I have had.
2. Pics now added to my Jabba post, take a look as she it blooming stunning! page 75
3. Bump, possible trade with 1x12
4. I used to be able o do it. I don't know what has changed. Can a moderator shed any light please?
5. I don't class my self as being particularly dumb but why the heck can't I add pictures on this site? It keeps on saying that no file was selected for upload. I have cleared the contents from the attachment box so there is plenty of space, is it just me or is there a problem? Any help appreciated.
6. Hi all, I am expecting the delivery of a new bass in the next couple of months soooooooooo............... this beaut may be for sale. Not bothered if it doesn't go so won't be taking silly offers. £1000 Mayones custom Jabba. There are only two of this spec in existence, one left handed and one right handed. This is a very special bass. Absolutely mint.......... there is not one mark on it! Here is some info about the right handed one made........ Mayones Jabba Custom, specially built for the NAMM-show in 2009. One of a kind!! Passive, with Nordstrand pick-ups!! This is the überjazz!!! Very nice birds-eye maple neck & fretboard!! This was sent to me by the Distributor of Mayones BENELUX. ( right handed owner ) "As for the Jabba you bought it is indeed a very beautiful bass. Also quite unique. This was originally built for the Fair (Namm-Frankfurt) with careful selection of woods and hardware. To my knowledge there is only one right-handed built with exact specifications. I once asked Mayones to built a left-handed version with these specs for a left-handed bass player who was really in love with the sound. So you really have a collectors item.Specs: Alder body (alder), Top = eye elm (with a wengé veneer between body & top), birdseye maple neck and fretboard (maple) Nordstrand NJ4 pickups, Badass Bass II bridge, Schaller tuners, passive electronics, 2x tone, 2x volume. When it first came in, I really hesitated to keep it myself. I even made pictures of it back then, I’ll send them to you. I'm glad you're very happy with it!!" Send me your email address so I can send more detailed pics, it is the bass in my avater.
7. Happy new year ( nearly ) type bump!

9. I am going smaller Conan, thanks for the offer though. I have seen some twelves so could do with selling !!!!!!!!!!!!!.
10. Thanks for the offer lloyd, I am after something a little lighter.
11. Yep this thing is silly light, I have had a ebs 650, tc rh and f1 through it and it sounds amazing. A rh750 through this would be monstrous!
12. As title says as new barefaced big one. Classic grill, this is a bit over kill for my house right now. £500. Massive bottom end, mid range punch, treble clarity and, for their weight, the loudest deepest bass cabs you can buy... Is that another fifteen? Why yes it is, a very very special one. And what's that other speaker in there? It's six and a half inches of punch, clarity, growl and sweetness. But it's just a big speaker and a little speaker, all inone box. I've seen cabs like that from other makers. The magic is inside the box - a full 2-way crossover, akin to that found in the very best studio monitors, which splits the sound between the two speakers, so each speaker can concentrate on doing what it does best. No other crossover found in a bass guitar cab has this complex topology, with very steep slopes so it is all but impossible to overpower the midrange driver, so that you get no interference between drivers either side of the crossover point, and so that you get the most accurate and realistic sound whether you're the bassist, a bandmate or a fan. Big One - our flagship model The massive port may give away that there is something different about this classic looking cab. So what is going on behind that silver cloth grill? Well it's a very very special fifteen plus a tiny giant of a six and a half inch midrange driver. Prepare for a tone, bottom and output revelation Featuring a extremely high excursion neo woofers in an oversized ported enclosures gives the Big One the ability to move more air and give you a fatter high SPL bass sound than most cabs twice their size (and how many more times its weight?!) Because this woofers is so good at going low it is not good at going high - the rest of your sound comes from an extremely high output 6.5" midrange speaker which gives you more tone and volume than you can believe possible from such a small speaker - it can cut through even the densest rock mix. Not only that but because this speaker is small it disperses your midrange much better than if it were coming from a larger woofer. Stand anywhere in the room and you will hear almost exactly the same tone - no other bass cab can achieve this! Why isn't everyone else making cabs like this? However, it can play louder than many need so for those that don't need such output we offer the Big Baby. And for those that don't need the incredible clarity and off-axis response of a true 2-way cab with an amazing midrange driver, or the huge deep bass of our unique 'BigSeries' woofers we offer the Compact, the Vintage and the Midgets. DIMENSIONS 29.5" high x 21" wide x 16" deep WEIGHT 41 lbs SENSITIVITY Similar to a quality 2x12" FREQUENCY RESPONSE Unusually flat response from the deep thick lows to the clear highs RECOMMENDED AMP POWER 200-1000W RMS MAXIMUM OUTPUT Similar to a high quality 6x10" or 2x15" NOMINAL IMPEDANCE 8 ohms
13. If someone wants to buy my barefaced big one then I can take this.
14. Not classic funk but check out electro deluxe especially the live stuff on utube.
15. This bass is made by a firm called Schwalbe, 4 string fretless www.schwalbe-bass.de/ Body = Ovangkol, maple , walnut top and back Neck = Maple and walnut Semour duncan quarter pounders 2 x volume 1x tone passive. This really is a top notch bass that sounds exactly how a fretless should with the sliver of maple for the fret markers. For sale for £800 or trade for a good quality fretted 4 or 5.
16. I preferred the midget to the compact so I guess to midgets would sound awesome I now have a barefaced big one which is amazing. The midget handled the low b with ease, Low A is low!!!
17. This is silly light and silly cheap, you will not believe how good this is. I have a mark bass F1 running through my BF one and its earth shakingly good. Don't bother getting a compact, this is so much better value!
18. Yep! the 15 got damaged in transit and the 6 was a plugging in faux par i think from the previous owner. This cab is now mint and brand new, drivers not even broken in yet. In fact its too good to get rid of........... I'm keeping it. Mods please remove.... cheers all !
19. Ok Richard cheers .
