Hey, I'm selling my lacewood top Ken Smith BSR5EG. Great bass from every point of view. It's an Elite model with graphite bars in neck. A great sounding bass, many players love the look and the sound of the lacewood. This lacewood top seems almost tridimensional. Warm, organic and very versatile, the slimmest neck I've ever played, and comes with its HEAVY OHSC. A bit of wear here and there, a groove under G string, 23th and 24th fret are a bit consumed (looks like previous owner was a serious slapper) but no buzz on any fret. Asking a relatively negotiable 3300€, willing to trade it for the right MTD (let's talk about it) a Fodera (with cash on my side) or the right Modulus Q5 + cash on your side. Special production Bartolini pickups (hence the BP logo). They are a special run, (not 100% sure but should be hum cancelling singles in P shape) and thay are VERY special. Unsure if it's only a matter of Polyfusion pre. Had that pre in my Legacy 5 (Bartolini humbuckers) and they did not sound very similar.

Hello fellows Basschatters, Here you have a Zon Legacy Elite 4, walnut top for sale/trade. Very rare to find used, so that's your chance to grab it for a very good price. No signs of the usual paint peeling of the Legacy built in nineties. It has a bit of dings (nothing too evident but please check the photo album) Straight neck (no truss rod) : Precision nut spacing, Schaller tuners and bridge. Comes with OHSC. Incredible sound, very clean and rich of harmonics. Should be for sale (need € to buy another bass, yes, the story of our lives) but I could be interested in a trade for a five strings same level. If you have a Zon 5 or a Modulus Q5 I will be more than willing to add cash. Reduced price : 1500€ shipped to most european nations Full album here !

Hello everyone. Got this amazing Alembic Essence 5 in a trade It's 99% mint, (1 mm ding on headstock, scratch on PU and a bit of paint gone on the corners of the neck pickup routing) so clean that I'm even scared to take it out for home practice. Since I don't want it to become a case queen I am considering a trade. Amazing sound is the most important part. Deep notes, this bass rings like a bell and the filter turns this bass from a dub monster to a slap machine. This one has a rare purpleheart top. Looks like it's not available anymore on the Alembic builder. Mother of pearl inlays, three stripes purpleheart neck. Front amber leds. Weight is 10,7 lbs (4,8 kgs). So beautiful that's on the Alembic website : http://www.alembic.c...oodsamples.html Click on purpleheart. Photos here : http://s1151.photobucket.com/user/siegeseven/library/Alembic Essence 5?sort=2&page=1 The Alembic website builder prices this bass north of 10K USD Looking for a quality 5 strings fretted.

Hello everyone, got this amazing Rob Allen MB2 in a trade and sadly it's not the sound I'm looking for so it's available for trade. Birdseye maple neck, ebony fingerboard, ash/walnut top, comes with its original Protec Contego gig bag. Mint, no dings, rashes, anything except for a nick on the black electronics cover. Eye candy here : http://s1151.photobu...2?sort=2&page=1 Looking for a fretted five strings same price range. Thanks for looking!

Only asked for a nickname, not a mail address or sensible data. I usually send a message asking to sell if dissatisfied from the new buy. Since this forum has a lovely "block sender" option I thought it would not have been a big piece of info to ask for. I'll take your suggestion and play the safe game Next time I'll simply ask the seller to pass on a message to new buyer.
Given that there are publicly accessible feedback threads, and the request was for a forum nickname, and not the personal details of the buyer, is this really a big deal? There have been instances where disgruntled buyers post threads about being disatisified with a deal and half the forum immediately knows who the other party is just by playing follow the feedback...
