1. Got one on order for my 7 month old girls first bass many years down the line on account of her name also being Gardner Silly reasoning but I love the look and feel and have been meaning to order her a bass for a while to go with the trumpet, recorder, violin, sax, recorder and cajon I already have stored
2. http://www2.gibson.com/Gibson-USA-2014.aspx This is the 2014 Gibson Lineup. I have just been made aware that every single guitar you see here, in every single finish option is available left handed.... Lefty Fretz have made a useful guide photo. 123 new lefties. 3. I shall be on using my normal blagged pass. Don't think I will be working but who knows...!
4. Well I have 2 guitars to flog first and a bass All Leftys actually, a Jap built Jackson Dinky HSH with duncans, a BC Rich Warlock with a Hardcase (Plat series) with upgraded pots, input, wiring and switching from a Grestch and a rare as rocking horse poop Jap made Silver Series Fender branded strat from the 80's, one of only 2 I have ever seen with both the Fender logo and the Silver Series logo on the same stock (supposedly they were only meant for the Japan domestic market) monster it is though, war wounds a plenty but a killer working mans (or womans!) Strat If they move quick so will I All I will say is - Reverse neck Jazz and a Custom Neck P.....
5. My first Fender was a Mexi Jazz, one from that year of production where the grub screws on the bridge saddles were made of pig iron and used to shear off. Hence it wore a BadAss bridge shortly after. Pickups a tad weedy but then I don't really like Jazz basses anyway but the Fit and Finish was good. Lovely Midnight Wine finish it was.
6. An online UK dealer have the following 500W head at £373 200W Head at £227 500 combo (which is a 2x10) at £455 410 at £373 115 at £273

9.
thats good Throwoff i'll have your custom p bass off ya
Haha, that bass is still a loooooong way off. The two new ones do have a distinctive Fender vibe though!
10. Exciting Lefty project startinf next month for me. I will end up with two unique lefty basses from it. Details and probably a build thread when the first bits arrive
11. Had a good listen to people playing this at the bash after giving Jons Purple Chili a hammering (If you ever decide to sell that btw......!) great sounding and looking bass.
12. Buy an amp!
13. That Alien I think is German on the age. OP is right they made very few before shipping production out to Vietnam I think it is.
14. Those MEC pots and EQ's can be a touch odd at first. Might need replacing if one seems to be doing nothing.
15. That vids 2000 but the bass could be anything from 86 onwards. I know Sandy were more a custom shop at first but the bridge and stock match up
16. SANDBERG!! Wierd slightly rounded bridge, slight beak to the headstock, angled retainer....
17. Looks to be 'Luthier' built. I had a flick through the other videos, appears to be a neck thru with a lovely top?
18. Got to be topping 4k I reckon?
19. Just went up on the book of faces. A fortress with nordys!
20. My current band has same bass vocals and two guitarists from our crappy ska punk band in the early noughties. Amazing to be together as the chemistry never goes but everyones ability has come on leaps and bounds
21. Whether someone is personally likeable should have no bearing on your view of their products. Im sure that bloke who sold fake bomb detectors had people who liked him... Im in no way saying Alex sells a shoddy product he clearly believes in it but this does all feel a bit fanboi to me. Nothing can beat my genz rig in my mind. Will I take it personally when someone tells me how their one exploded and had a strong smell of yaks urine coming off it? No. Will I sell it end up with something else and regret it? Yes. Look how much BF gear comes up in amps for sale... we are almost to a man (and woman) a right fickle bunch of gits.
22. Gah if this was the black and gold one I might have done summit silly
23. I did to buy my dream bass. My USA P. Gotta say though I was at rehearsal the other night and we were jamming out a track with a very modern sound and it did creep into my head as much as the P sounded amazing and the neck feels like an old pair of shoes maybe the Ray would be a better choice for that song...
24.
I remember at the Oast House there was a guy who walked over to Ben Robinson's bass case, took it out and walked onto the stage with it, some people have no boundaries.
ahahahahah Thats brilliant.
25. Just don't lend gear. Ever. Im not sure I would even lend gear to another BCer or a close friend, you just never know, what if the venue electrics are dodgy? If you cant turn up to a gig with instruments, amps and cables you are not a band.
