1. This should be marked NSFW. I think I need a towel.
2. I toy with investment instruments from time to time but generally stick to quick flips. Buy too cheap and sell at normal price.
3. I sold my Warwick, it then got sold on and ended up 20 mins from me. So I bought it back!
4. Hey mate, Whats the Serial Number? Never seen one like that before, awesome colour.
5.
Ibanez Jetking with the upper scratchplate taken off.
or that.
6. His name is Aric Gillis, cant find a good shot of the headstock anywhere, he is on linkedin so maybe message him on there?
7. There is something very special about Warwick Basses, they just make 'my tone' EQ set all flat on the bass, pickups 50/50 and volume about 3/4 of the way up and she just sings. I think eventually I will take the plunge and get the CS Warwick I dream about but not till I have done some considerable saving!
8. Has anyone claimed the use of Reichenbacker yet? If not then I want it.
9. I am about to put a bass up for sale. With some clever cropping I think I have avoided the plums copyright claims.
10. The later models are far superior in my eyes, plus that font for 'ROCKBASS' on the headstock of the old models just looks cheap to be honest. They use all the same hardware, pickups etc as German ones but the Pre-amps are different, I am never sure exactly how as they are still MEC units but they are slightly different set ups to on the German wicks. Good basses but as always with the market how it is if you are looking at new Rockbasses get down to for sale on here, I got my Corvette for £400... for a German one second hand... That is less than a new rockbass.
11. You're probably right. Music store are massive. They would likely defend and law suit ferociously
12. Looks like Samick were building for yammy back then. Samick have built for almost everyone over the years. I like it when these kind of things turn up. When I got my first bass (Washburn xb120) my friends brother vot his bass around the same time. A Stagg branded bass which apart from the routing was identical to my Washburn. Probably both Samicks or corts
13. He plays bass? I thought he just liked things on Facebook that one should not like...
14. Personally I think Warwicks are worth sitting on right now, their market is AWFUL second hand in terms of pricing. I have seen some elaborate custom shop instruments go for under a grand in the past couple of years, prices will not remain that low forever I do not think, if the brand either goes pop or comes back into vogue they will creep back up.
15. Fender stopped making these bags and replaced them with a new range last year, these are lovely bags, not sure why they changed them. Bump on me!
16. Some people just dont understand the second hand market, a friend of mine for long and complicated (but entirely honest and legal!) reasons ended up with 2 amp heads when he only paid for one. He sat on one for a year with it in the box unused and then decided it was an expensive thing to leave in the box as a spare. He put it on eBay for the EXACT price the amp was new on GAK, and it didnt sell for months as he kept relisting. His logic - It has never been used, it is brand new. Which of course is entirely true but it lost several hundred pounds value the second it left the shop.
17. Didn't it weigh the same as a small sun?
18. Who knows, they are not a go to brand nowadays, worth a decent bid that.
19. The pickups are worth double that!
20. I think stock was unbranded pickups

Bass Kit

Thinking of picking one of these up, have always fancied giving it a go and this might be a good way to start. As a left an Explorer bass is almost unheard of so be a bit different to what is currently available. http://www.diyguitarkits.co.uk/store/item/184/unfinished-left-hand-exp-style-bass-guitar-kit-project-diy- Basswood body, the hardware will be tat but I am happy to bin it all, I am basically buying the body and neck, again I dont expect wonders from the neck but can always look at putting a different one on there. Anyone used one of these?
22. As we grow the thread I am sure tips will come along, been a little quiet recently with my baby on the way any day now, should be sorting the skip and clearing the space soon. Then we can see how it lies.
23. A Thumb Bolt on has a really unique vibe to it, I actually prefer the bolt on to the NT, more snap in the high notes.
24. Missed the last one but still interested!
