There are rumours in the industry that very soon light up markers could be done for a very low price. The basic tech is the same as glow in the dark toys etc only much more advanced and long lasting plastics. The theory is you could have light up dots that last a few hours just from leaving the bass in a room with a lightbulb for 20 minutes before you play.

I think so, I was slightly 50/50 when it all arrived but now it's on I love it!

Is there anyway the effects could be be built into a bass? The just turned on and off with microswitches mounted to the front?

New Machine heads on a nice polished stock Everything else on! (A damn sight cleaner!) Restrung! The whole thing needs a set up and the spacing arranged but It had been tuned up with a high C for some time so I am leaving it overnight to let it settle with the tension of a B and will begin the set up tomorow evening, followed by another good clean! Personally I think it looks 100% better now!

So here we go! First off were the knobs and strap pins Next the Bridge And Machineheads At this point I took the oppertunity to Lemon oil the board and give the whole thing a decent polish.

Still can't work it out!! It is really bothering me as well... I actually went through all my Strings direct receipts last night but no luck! I obviously didn'y buy them from there which means I probably bought them in a store because they were the only ones available in the gauge I use!

Wayne actually plays through three 810's flightcased in custom built checkerd cases. Along side he has a rack with 3 SVT's and several rack effects units all controlled by a specially employed FX roadie. True facts.

I have been up all night applying for credit cards and loans. I need to get an SVT so badly I don't care if it ruins my credit score. I can't believe I have been so wrong for all these years. Please Mr Mint card accept my application so I can stop playing bass with the lights off and ear plugs in.

Oh go on then I will bite. I like an SVT, always fantasised about having one since I started playing bass. SVT with 8x10 and a Stingray. That was the dream. Well eventually I got my Stingray and had an Ampeg 410 with Ashdown head. The head was crappy and I had money so I went out to look for another solution, Found a store with an SVT and 8x10, played through it and almost wet myself with the excitement that very soon I would be taking it home. Just as I was talking my brain into putting it on the credit card and to hell with the consequence I spotted a Markbass CL108 and decided to have a punt with it for the laugh (I had not seen one in store before and thought best to try it as I probably wouldn't ever get to again!) Markbass was just phenomenal. Plus with the LM250 head I could keep my Ampeg 410 and use it for smaller gigs and still get a nice sound. Weighed less, moved the same amount of air and honestly, with the VLE on full it's as close to an Ampeg at low volume as Line 6 will ever get . Each to their own Dave.

Nope not at all. Just spotted it on there (I am lefty anyway so not of interest to me!) and know there is a strong following for the OLP's on here. Feel free to PM me if you want any clarification, I am just trying to help a BCer get a possible bargin!

I would agree with Colledge. Seems like a wierd thing to fake as well! Musicmasters never go for great money would make very little sense to fake on up to the standard that is!
